Mystery Strain Day 42 Of Flower...What does everyone think????

She is in day 42 of flower and I don't know what she is but she stretched like a son of a bitch when she flowered so shes got some heavy sativa genes. I fimmed her and turned into quite the beauty, How can I be positive when she is done since I don't know exactly what she is???:wall:

Fuck if I know.

I don't think that you can harvest her if you don't know what strain she is. I read on the forum somewhere that if you don't know the strain that you are growing that you should take it to an FBI office for identification. Good luck

Would a police headquarters suffice? I just have no idea how I could even contact the FBI. Are they just as knowledgeable?

Well sativa usually takes longer to flower then indica so it may take a while longer until its ready but most people judge when to harvest by the color of the trichomes amber or cloudy my advice is to buy a mini microscope from radioshack or a 420scope online for about $15-20 that way you can know for sure.

So yeah I did check it just a while ago with my little microscope and even on most of the lower buds, the trichs were mostly really cloudy with some amber ones tossed in. My question is She looks ready and she did veg for a long time so is it possible to be ready in just under 45 days???????:?:

it is possible but unlikely. most strains take a min of 60 days. I don't go by trich like most people I harvest when 80% of the calyxes are swelled to seed size, 80-90% of the hairs are brown and the greenness of the leaves has begun to fade away to yellows, reds, and purples.

Need to fix the white balance custom setting on your camera and it will clear up the orange color in your pics from the hps light.

P1020536.jpgP1020541.jpgP1020542.jpgP1020543.jpgHere she is today. My microscope got sticky just from examining a few buds a while ago. :) REALLY WANT TO FUCKING CHOP HER DOWN!!!!! The smell is just unbelievable, It's like a tropical fruit shoved up a skunks ass.

Sometimes when I am not sure I just pick a bud, fast dry it and consume it.

Most of the time it helps....

those look like indica's to me, but like people here said most plants finish flowering 8-10 weeks, so just watch and wait.

I asked a question a couple weeks ago about the same thing. My Chemdawg plants trichs are all cloudy at day 28. I had never looked at a plant through a scope that early before.

Was told that it's just a phase of flower, and it will just keep blowing up and expanding. Don't harvest yet.

Check trichs around day 55-65 and look for amber trichs. Looks like you're going to get a nice yield off of good 'ol Ms. Mystery.

Looks like she's still showing white hairs but this doesn't mean she isn't ready, every time I get close to harvest I never know when to chop, my last grow I chopped early when trichs were mostly cloudy and just a few amber but at the time the plant didn't look ready, still had white hairs. The time before I waited for all the hairs to go brownish orange. The better smoke was when I went by the trichs rather than the plant. Must add though they were different varieties so this might mean absolutely nothing.

Just an update if anyone still cares...No pictures for today because I was kinda with a girl last night :P HAHA Anyway I checked my baby and she's getting that milky, creamy color from the trichs so im thinking any day now? :mrgreen:

She looks like she has a week or two left in her....
Trust me...
If you are not worried about it being slightly on the "couch lock" side, W8!!!
She will swell up in the last two weeks...

She smells more and more like skittles every day with a hint of something else I cant quite pinpoint, maybe almost a chocolate smell???
