it sure is..1% gets to utilize loopholes instead of paying the taxes they should be paying.

poverty level gets tax credits on school and such because government recognizes that we're not all 1%ers:wink:
Can you point out some of those loopholes for us?

Other than bitching about paying capital gains and keeping money earned overseas in foreign banks (both of which are legal) I have not really heard those bitching about loopholes specify any.

I don't get all the hate towards someone who pays millions in taxes each year, only to be looked down upon by people who pay zero dollars in taxes and get thousands back on top of it.

You want him to pay more? How about we spend more wisely instead.

I already posted a link. I'll post it again: http://www.gradeinflation.com/figure2.gif.

Here's one by athletic conference: http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2010/03/22/business/economy/inflation.jpg.

Here's a chart showing that curve you speak of: http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2011/07/13/business/economy/economix-13gradeinflation/economix-13gradeinflation-custom2.jpg. It's looking a little different these days, isn't it?

In the last 20 years, average GPA has risen substantially. In the last 40 years, average GPA has skyrocketed.
You haven't really been following along, way behind the curve, go back to post #31.

Legal and honest are often not the same thing. Taking others money might be legal, but it is dishonest if the money was not given by free choice.

I don't even know what you're talking about?
Well that's pretty obvious.
Ignorance is what it is through choice.
Ever notice when you are late to the party that you tend to not know whats going on with everyone?
Well, you are very late.
It doesn't have to be this way though, you can start at page one, and by the time you get all the way back to here, you might have figured it out.

You're whining because you made the same point and I repeated it independently somewhere else in the thread? Really?

Let me help you out: for future reference, I rarely start on the first page of a thread unless there are only a couple of pages there. I don't have an endless amount of time to read the latest six pages of exchange between Buck and whoever he's presently accusing of racism. It's boring. Seeing it makes me want to just leave instead of reading further or writing anything at all. If I have a point to make wherever I pick up, I make it. You said something about 3.8s and scholarships, so I said there are way more 3.8s than there used to be, knowing that you're significantly older than I am and have a significantly different frame of reference.

Now you know.
Get some!
You coulda figured this all out at post 158, but then you went and made yourself look even more like a broken record.

How you feeling?
