Never used it for weed plants but I filled my garden beds with nature’s care soil from Home Depot. It’s kind of chunky and seems to hold a lot of moisture; I would add a whole lotta perlite and maybe more worm castings. If you are adding in a dry fertilizer that may be all you need for a water only mix. It doesn’t need to be specifically for cannabis. Try to look for something good for any kind of flowering plants; I use chicken manure myself. Charlie’s compost brand.,.

I just saw this article come out:

Do u think chicken litter/manure would be a bad idea in living soils over time if the source of manure fed this Monsanto poison to there chickens?

Yeah thanks btw to the dickhead who posted this; now everyone thinks chicken manure is bad. No I don’t think anyone will have a problem with their weed plants if they use composted chicken poo as fertilizer. I have read the article and was thinking of commenting on the thread this was posted in but then again I really don’t care to debate it one way or the other. I can say I have been using it for years without any problem. This article btw if you read it doesn’t even mention cannabis. It is about the possibility of failing vegetable crops in which they find high concentrations of known carcinogens found in roundup.
So maybe let’s say you are a commercial grower and you specialize in artisan edibles then ok then use a veganic fertilizer if you want but I do not believe chicken manure will reduce populations of microlife. It actually contains a whole lotta bacteria just like every other kind of composted shit that exists on the planet earth. If you are not comfortable using chicken crap then go with a veganic or other type of fertilizer. The plants won’t care either way. Find whatever works for you but I will continue to use it; ain’t skeered.
