Navy SEALs spotted at Boston bombing.

Two Navy SEALs were spotted at the Boston bombing... Obviously SEALs aren't stupid so they aren't suspects - even though they both had pretty big backpacks - they wouldn't be up to no good wearing known SEAL hats.

But it begs the question - if this whole "bomb squad training exercise" was indeed a training exercise, why is an obvious anti-terrorist SEAL team presence at the Boston Marathon? Can you say "failed" mission?

Are you sure? That one guy looks middle eastern to me, OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!! We can make up a story about how he masterminded it all even if he does turn out to be a member of the armed forces, in fact use that to our advantage to suspect more veterans as terrorists. Then they can get all veterans off the streets and all that will be left is people like bucky, who wouldn't know which way the muzzle goes. Easy pickins then.

No, they are most likely seals or dressing the part - desert combat boots, cargo khakis, SEAL hats... I doubt arab terror cells would get the SEAL hat right. I guess we'll see how it plays out.

The uniform seems to be the counter-terrorism attire for the marathon. Here is a video of another counter-terrorist scanning for radiation after the bomb went off.

What makes that a "known SEAL hat"? I don't know anything about SEAL uniforms, but my simple Google image search didn't show a hat that looks like the one in the photo.

Well, since you brought it up... Here is a picture of Dan Lewin - ex Israeli Defense Force, Sayeret Matkal (Israeli version of Delta Force)...

To put things in perspective, here's this ex-Delta Force guy that just happens to let 4 arabs with box cutters hijack a plane that is flown into the WTC... Sorry, seems unbelievable to me.

Alright, I answered my own question. I followed a link on the Youtube video: http://www.infowars.com/navy-seals-spotted-at-boston-marathon-wearing-suspicious-backpacks/. They show the logo against similar logos on what are claimed to be SEAL patches. This looks like the hat in the photo: http://co-store.com/ProductDetails.aspx?tag=_1:48149_2:358147. You can order one for $23.

Their support for claiming it's a SEAL hat is that a former SEAL is wearing it in a photo. That former SEAL evidently founded the company that uses the logo and sells the hats--he's wearing his own merchandise in the photo, not a SEAL uniform. Here's the company's own explanation of its logo: http://www.thecraft.com/craft_skull.html.

The hat itself can be bought, there is no argument there - patches on ebay as well. But I would highly advise agains dressing the part of anti-terrorist personnel where anti-terrorist personnel are working - chances are they know each other and that in itself would draw their attention.

"As this was happening, passenger Daniel Lewin, who was seated in the row just behind Atta and Omari, was stabbed by one of the hijackers-probably Satam al Suqami, who was seated directly behind Lewin. Lewin had served four years as an officer in the Israeli military. He may have made an attempt to stop the hijackers in front of him, not realizing that another was sitting behind him." From the 9/11 Commission Report. Even if you don't believe that's what happened, why would you expect one unarmed man who'd been out of the military for ten years to take on four armed hijackers intent on accomplishing their mission?

Edit: I misstated the number of hijackers as four instead of five.

Dan Lewin was Israeli Delta Force - oh, and by the way, he was a billionaire... If he was really trained as an anti-terrorist he must have been the shittiest anti-terrorist not to notice the unfolding going on around him. And, BTW, why would they kill Lewin right off the bat? Out of everyone on that plane, they picked a "Delta Force" equivalent soldier... Sounds like a bullshit fairytale to me - but you believe what you wish.

Your claim is that these men are SEALs because that's a SEAL hat. Obviously it's not a SEAL hat because anyone can buy one. So what's left to substantiate a claim that they're SEALs?

Good point... Perhaps they were.
many of which are ex military and now work for different branches of the government. all it looks like was a dude with a chris kyle hat showing respect. but it could have been a dude secretly waiting to take you into custody to never be seen again. ;) god i love america. lmao. take peeps off the street for no reason what so ever other than looking the part of a terrorist.

The report suggests that he did notice, that he tried to do something, and that he was killed because another terrorist came from behind and stabbed him in the neck. That answers your other question: they killed him because he drew on his background and tried to stop them, not because they had some special reason to believe he should be neutralized. What's not plausible about that?

Evidently you've decided that an unarmed ex-special forces soldier should be able to prevent five armed religious zealots from hijacking a plane. Maybe you're just thinking too highly of this soldier turned executive whose company was in the process of crumbling on the day he boarded that flight; his colleagues reported that he'd gotten just one hour of sleep the night before because he was up agonizing over who was going to be laid off.

How about YOU, STFU? Tragedies only count if you apply actuarial methods.
