Yall had a pancake fundraiser at applebees? i wish i was able to get to charlotte... cant get out of here for a while though.... we should definitely do a march on the capitol soon though... i would defienitely be down for this. I wish it was easier to know who is good and bad on here so i knew who i could trust! would be nice to have a rally so i could meet a couple fellow growers in the area. the one i went to last year had an open mic... this was a good idea, we should do that again. maybe if we could get a couple bands and stuff there too. we could turn it into a march and then a little festival on the capitol grounds! maybe my gf could bring some of the hemp jewelery she makes and others could as well...
what kind of permits would we need to hold an event on the capitol like this? i bet we could put flyers up around ncstate campus! that is how i foound out last year about the march. i am willing to do whatever volunteer work its going to take to get this off of the ground. i am currently unemployed so this would be a great hobby for me! i wouldnt mind being more in tune with medicinal community also. i do not personally have a need for medicinal marijuana. except maybe my migranes but i only get them a couple times a month. i do however support fully the idea of the legalization of medical marijuana in north carolina to the fullest and i really would like to be a part of this transition of our state to a mmj state
Thanks for the enthusiasm mkay, I known Babs will surely appreciate it.
Our pancake fundraiser didn't happen, which actually turned to out to be the best because most people had issues arrive that would have prevented their attendance.
As it stands now, there is another pancake deal scheduled for November 21st. Here are the details I've got right now...
November 21st: Fuquay-Varina. NC Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser Breakfast from 8-10 am at the Applebees Restaurant in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Join us for a Short Stack for a Tall Cause, meet NCCPN organizers and help return dignity and equal rights to NCs sick and suffering.
As far as getting permits for a march/rally, I imagine one would have to go through the city/county where the event would be held.
There appears to be scheduled marches that happen periodically throughout the state, so it may be more pertinent for us to locate and support those rather than trying to organize a march. But I guess if there aren't any coming up for a while why not organize a march right?
