I currently have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado.
Crew cab; 2 wheel drive; bucket seats in front; split bench in rear. I could have opted for the 5.3 (327c.i.) engine but I paid the extra money for the big block 6.0 v-8 engine.

It's worth the money.. that thing has shit loads of torque.. as well as horsepower. I think stock my truck with the 6.0.. I think the stock HP for that engine is around 400hp-425HP.

She's four wheels old now.. bought her new off the lot with 800 miles on her.. and for those four years I have driven this thing every where. She's got 85k miles on her and she's still runs like new.

That 6.0 is bullet proof.. indestructible.

I will always drive Chevrolet.. or Cadillac!!

Thinking maybe whenever my 5 year warranty goes out on my truck I have now.. I'll try and trade in on a Cadillac.. probably Escalade. Love those things..

Ok guys I took my father in law with me yesterday and I ended up getting a 2010 Chevy Silverado Z71. Toupe Grey Sticker price was $35,965 instant rebate of $6000 and -$2500 for cash payment. So $27,069 and they are throwing in a bedliner, Tanoe cover and running boards. It comes with on star for a year, and XM radio for 6 months. I pick it up tomorow at 11:30 I post some pics friday night or Saturday.

just get him to help pick out his oppions. go to a maufacture web sitecheck out all opions on a 150 see witch ones he likes. if not sure say that would be cool on a truck .geting his reaction. then decide if you want to get that for him. don't forget the big bow for it. con grats on your eight.

I totally dissagree.
What maintenance would you do to help a mitsubishi trans being pushed by a 5.9 litre dodge V-8. Just 1 example.
I have buildt many motors. And am no master mechanic.

Nice,Im just not feeling the color,I prefer flat black in trucks.Im sure he loves it though.

SWEET truck, and love the color. Perfectly dark but not black so it get's dirty often. I loved driving those babies all over brand new, those and the burbans. Love me a suburban.

I only made it to page 3 so idk how things have turned out but my friend just came thru to show off his new silverado and i can say i was impressed. I usually hate chevys but that beast is super nice. Good motor with pretty nice power and torque, Great interior,and i think its the best looking silverado they have ever made.

LOL i just saw the pics right above my post, Great choice. Its the exact same truck as my friend tims haha he should love it.

2010 f150 lariat edition....
36k gets you the 4wd. if you have decent credit/large down payment/or lots of cash you might be able to find a good deal at a local ford delearship. the lariat is a higher end model, and sales of high end models havent been too hot lately...

just my .02. all i read was page 1 :p
