Hi all,
After re potting my plants in order to add rice hulls as the previous soil mix was very dense, my plants leaves started to curl upward/inward. This condition was present before re potting but not as bad as it had turned over the past week. The new soil mix is draining a lot as my plants had needed to be watered every couple of days.
Watered on Jan 16 after re potting.
Watered again on Jan 18, soild as dry after sticking my finger at least 3 inches. Changed light cycle to 12/12.
Watered again on Jan 20 adding a 25% solution of 20.20.20 with micronutrients, I also added about 1/8 teaspoon of trichoderma to the soil before watering.
I have not watered since as the soild seems wet but not overwet.
When I touch the curling leaves they seem very dry to the touch, crispy instead of soft.
My research and the conditions of the soil pointed towards under watering and/or heat stress and the leaves discoloration pointed towards K and Mg deficiency...
At this point I am only using a 90W LED as I have turned off the two 40W CFL as they made the room temperature increase therefore forcing me to use the AC more often and resulting in a high electricity bill.
Temperature goes from 73F to 82F at different stages of the day and RH varies from 50% to 65%.
I should also mention that I put my plants into 12/12 two days after re potting on Jan 18 due to the fact that I need to have them out of the house within a month, so I thought I might as well try to "force flowering" and see how it goes.
I have also posted a pic to show how the soil looked like after adding the rice hulls.
All of your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
