Need a Professionals Opinion...

i harvested a little early because of bug worms and i'm need some suggestions becuase i'm using a hanging rack. This is my first harvest and as you can see there are some big buds and small ones. There were big colas that i had to break down to order to find the bugworms.

my question is since i had to break down the colas, will my drying time be reduced? Will it dry in less than 7 days? or does it depend on the size of the bud?

As far as the smaller buds should i jar them earlier so they don't dry up so fast?

thanks to everyone who can give me their opinion...bugworms are really hard to find and i have to look in every crevice of my buds to find them...i've some some bud to the damage but need help on how to dry/cure since i had to break up the majority of the bud. please help.

bend the stems when drying, when the stems snap rather than fold over its pretty much ready, drying time differs dramatyically due to temp, humidity, amount of bud in the space and so on and so forth....

it will still take around 7 days for the chlorophyll to break down... the buds may dry slightly faster though... theyll be smokeable but not perfect :)

Drying time depends on a lot of variables, namely:

Bud size
Temperature
Humidity
Ventilation

Mazand has already told you how to check the buds.

They will probably take around 7 days to dry properly, you need to cure them after that aswell for optimum smokeability ;)

^^ This. everything there is golden.

i would like to add that Smaller buds often dry MUCH faster that larger buds. if the outer leaves get crunchy before the stems start to crack simpley jar teh buds for 5-12 Hours to even out moisture content and put them back on the racks.

all in all you WANT it to take 5-7 days for a complete dry. this improves the quality of the smoke through removing chlorophyll during the drying process.

thanks...this is much appreciated...i guess my best bet would be to check those nugs and smaller bud in maybe 3 -5 days and put them in jars to cure (???)

I would check on them at least every other day (preferably every day).
You can check them with a hygrometer or just by feel.

If overdried you can take a bit of a fresh leaf and put it into the jar you cure your overdried weed in to add humidity.
That is just a failsafe however, overdrying bud is not good.
