It amazes me that people are so dead set on teaching someone a lesson they fail to even listen to the question.
The microwave is a GREAT way to dry weed you want to smoke RIGHT NOW. I have noticed ZERO difference in strength between microwaved freshly harvested weed and the same weed that's had a few days to dry. Though weed that's had a week to dry and a week to cure is MUCH better than the microwave stuff.
I'm sure it's too late for him but for the next guy that wants to know and doesn't want to listen to 40 people telling him how NOT to do it here's how to safely microwave dry your pot.
Note: Your weed will taste like shit and be pretty harsh but none of that matters if you smoke from a vaporizer like I do.
Get a plastic sandwich container like one of these, I use the Glad ones:
1) Take two paper towels and fold them in half, then fold them in half again. Put that in the bottom of the sandwich container.
2) Put your pot on top of those paper towels.
3) Take another paper towel and moisten it with tap water. Wring it out thoroughly; it should be moist but not dripping wet. Put that on top of the container.
4) Put the cover on the sandwich container but leave one corner loose, don't snap down the cover over that one corner.
5) Put in microwave and cook for 30 seconds on power level 40%. YOU MUST SWITCH POWER LEVEL! You can experiment with the power level but I found 30% wasn't enough and 50% was too much with my microwave.
6) Take out, open top, blow out steam gently. You now want to remove the folded over paper towel with your pot on it an put in on the counter. Wipe the inside and the top of the sandwich container with the paper towel you used to cover the top.
7) If it's not dry put the folded over paper towels with the pot on them back in the container and repeat until dry. I usually cook mine about 2.5-3.5 mins for 8-10g wet which comes out to about 2-3g dry. I also cook mine for 60 seconds the first two times since I've learned my microwave's strength.
Hopefully that was an actually useful answer.
