Need advice 50 days into flower

Hey everyone,

I switched my plant to 12/12 lighting 50 days ago. It is Royal Queen Special Kush #1. I was hoping to get some advice on what to expect from here on out..

I'm 50 days in and I am leaving for a week in 17 days.. I think its probable she wont be ready to harvest beforehand. From the pictures, can anyone tell if she is behind/ahead of schedule? Do you think I will need longer than 17 more days? I know its impossible to pinpoint an exact date, but if anyone has experience estimating flowering time it would help me find a trusting babysitter. Royal Queen says the flowering time for the seeds are 7-8 weeks. Im thinking longer?

In addition, the tips of all the fan leaves are yellowed.. No fan leaves have died, just the tips are yellow. Any ideas?

Also, is it normal for a flowering plant to need much more water? I found it needs water every 4 or 5 days. In vegetative growth, it only needed water every 8-9 days.

Thanks again for any input you guys can provide. Overall, I think she looks pretty good.. Hopefully she will be done in time.

um...50 days in flower?? how long u veg for. looks like she is about 30 day and 30 left...or its gonna be the longest low yielding plant i may have ever seen...not trying to b a db but thats wat its looks like to me..im a bit baffled. 8 or 9 wk strain huh..ur in 7th wk now..that shit should have serious shoulders.gl

No way in hell they'll be ready in 17 days. Looks like you have another 50 days left, at least. Maybe a Sativa pheno?

don't worry about being a db I want the advice. I let it veg for about 1.5 months.. When I switched to 12/12, it took a solid 2.5 weeks to show any serious sign of flower. I dont know why it went so slowly

could be a number of factors..but truth is it should b large and in charge however its not soo...its obviously stunted...go over all ur stats..heat..humidity...nutrition...lumens of light avail to plant..u get it. that skinny momma will be fine...shes got another 30 prob like i said...pray she gets frisky and fills out for ya pal

I dont think I gave it enough time after topping (in veg) before switching to flower. I didn't give the new stems enough time to get thick and strong. On the other hand, there was a ton of new lower growth AFTER switching to flower.. So the main stems of the plant didnt get the bulk of the energy - a lot was used up on the lower new growth which is also budding

I can't get the rh lower than 70. But temp and light is good.

i think ur first guess is more on target..i top at about the 6th node and take the two lower nodes as cuts for future selection. i then let it veg for about 2wks or less depending upon genetics. lots of bud sites is wat its all about...w a true set of leaves befor i flower. i end up w mature budsits all up the arm...and naturally defoliat toward the end. u need all the leaf ur plant has to make some buds ..take any off and ur gonna regret it.

That strain is an 8 week variety. If u are 50 days into bloom yoh have some serious issues at hand.

What have you been feeding for nutrient how often? Also, u sure u dont have any light leaks or anything in ur room? Looks like they are stressed and flowering has been halted. At day 50 that plant should have huge thick colas and leaves beginning to turn yellow and die off. Should b cutting down in a week or so. But obviously that isnt the case and something went drastically wrong.

Topping your plants before flowering wont necessarily stop them from flowering. Its always recommended to wait 10-14 days before flowering after any topping has been done so they can recover correctly. When you topped and initiated flowering right away it may have stressed them out and took longer to bloom.

Answer these couple questions for us:
Medium?
What nutrients are you using?
PPM and PH?
How often have you been feeding?
Temp and RH?
What type of light source?
Make sure you dont have any light leaks and timer is working correctly?

At day 50 something is drastically wrong. Answer these few questions and we will start from there.

Clone or seed? I find clones finish closer to expected flower times than seeds do. Especially under my 400w.
Say the seeds are 70days, Im not surprised when they take 85-100 days. Your plant looks fine. It's just chugging along at a slower pace.

The reason it went so slowly is bc you are not watering enough, I've gone weeks without watering before and she'll still grow just very slowly. You should be watering every day or other day tops. It's sativa dominant right, that's why she so skinny it will fill out a bit more but not much. Do you notice how the hairs on top are starting to curl in, that's a sign that she's about to reach fruition; once the hairs have all curled in to form the bud she is ready to chop. Maybe in 17 days if you start watering regularly, she's probably stunted so it might even take another month.

Ok after seeing the last pic something is definitely wrong, had the same thing happen to me no solid buds. It's bc your not watering enough guaranteed, during both veg and flower you should be giving them a healthy amount of water every day or two. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but this whole grow was in vain, we'll at least it was a good learning experience. You're not going to get much more bud than that and I'm willing to bet that they're going to be very low potency. You gotta water regularly trust me that is the problem, like I said same thing happened to me.

These are day 55 SAGE N SOUR.

Bout 7-8 ounces per plant. 6 per light in 7 gallon containers..

Ya I grew 1 lb off of 3 Dakini Kush and I was pretty proud, big buds too, ya good nutes definitely make a difference. Dakini Kush by Centennial Seeds is deadly by the way, try it out you won't be disappointed, by far my favorite strain.

never ran an but those buds prove it works

Botanicare bases and AN additives.

Next run im doing straight coco with AN Sensi coco and a mix of my own recipe few diff products I like. Hoping to hit 2.5 per light with this pheno. And im running a couple blueberry strains also. Ill be making a conplete journal to watch soon.
