Need Advice About " To Harvest or not to Harvest!"

Hi guys , i have this Early Widow from Advanced Seed's , it's suposed to be a early finisher! It have already about 65 days into flowering , and i am "flushing" now for 7 days with water just with molasses !
Now the this is , i still see alot of white pistils , and the the sugar leafs i take to see the trichomes have just a few amber trichoms , to be honest its seems they have less amber trichs then 2 weeks ago! is this normal ? Should i haverst this week ?
I'm Afraid i am starving my plant when i should still feed it and harvest later !
I was thinking of water tomorrow with some Organic Nuts cause i'm afraid on giving it chemicals again so close to harvest ..
I'm a newbie on this , so i'm in a big dilema now :X

Not amber enough yet...

Its better to take a bud and count the trich ratio of amber/cloudy.

Also when it comes to hairs there are certain strains that just wont turn color til after you harvest. There will be a few but not many.

The hog im growin is kinda like that but a friend grew og18 or one similar and it had white pistols til the day he chopped.

Id say youre ready to harvest based on most indica heavy WW usually finish in about 55-65 days.

Try snippin off a tiny bud and checkin the trichs on that.

You can water with nutes up until the day you harvest and have no ill effects. If you plan to keep them going for another week id give em a little bit of nutes with the molasses. doesnt matter if its synth or organic. Organic might work better with the molasses but theres really not a huge difference.

Thanks for the input guys , but budbro18 , isn't there an opinion that feeding synth nuts until harvest will give a hay smell to the buds , and more harsh smoke ?

I;m a bit hurried right now..; but if I read this correctly.. and with my 'first impressions' prone to change when someone points out something I didn't think of....

If that were mine, from the pics, if I had to choose door number 1, 2, or 3.. I would feed again next time and let her go AT LEAST another two weeks before I even fretted about it.. That's just me.. that 'whiskey' is JUST STARTING to age.. you could pull it now.. I'd let her age longer.. (again, just me, everyone else's own mileage may vary).

A wise man once said (on these forums) something akin to if you are a newer grower with only a few harvests under you, 'when you THINK' you are ready, give it another week.. and then give it one more week..

I wish I knew who to credit this advice to, because it is more true than not..

i just look to a piece from a bud i just cutted , and the calyx seem's to be all cloudy and clear trichs , not amber on the calyx !
So i think i'm with you maxwell , i will feed her again for at least one more week

I never mess with trichs anymore..

After all this time (for ME) I can look at a crop and tell when it is ripe and ready to harvest.. It is a 'harvest-able' crop, and trich's are neat and all,, but the 'plant' overall tells me when it is ripe and ready to pick.. not the trichs.. not that I don't take them into consideration as part of the whole, because I do.

But no FOR ME, looking at that plant, it is nowhere ready to be harvested yet.. she is hungry and wants to make bud still...

Harsh smoke has to do with improper cure like stated above.

The taste may differ slightly between organic and synth nutes but it wont be better or worse. Those are opinions and if you gave someone synth fed bud and organic fed bud they wouldnt be able to see/taste much of a difference. Same thing with hydro or soil/soilless. If you know how to grow you can do either just as well with the same results.

Bud flushed for weeks grown all organic but not cured right wont taste as good as miracle grow grown bud thats been fed to the end and cured nicely.
