Hey everyone, so out of the four ripped bubba beans I obtained from some weed, I have one confirmed male. Iv'e been vegging for a couple months and the sacs aren't big enough yet so I have time. I also have one mystery bean I found and she's in week two of flower, I kind of want to pollinate her but maybe I shouldn't bother since its my first grow? Can I get away with just doing one branch? Or should I just euthanize the poor bastard?

Yes, you can do one branch. Pollen + small Paper bag tied over a flowering top. Shake and leave for a couple days.
Spray bag lightly with water so that excess dry pollen sticks to the inside of bag. Cut away and remove bag very, very carefully.
That be it.

All Males died in my garden.:peace:

we are not chicken farming here (they kill all the males that hatch)

ok guy ......................move the male to anouther spot away from the females...........make sure where ever it goes the pollen does not have a air path back to female

as u have females ..............do u want seeds........do u want to mess with crossbreeding ...............do u want to play with gentics and fell like a god in the end making a strain named after whatever u want

if so then learn about pollen collection and other method ppl do and go to town with a plant see what u can do ..............just keep that little trail run some other place then your main crop

No Shit?! How hard can it be to cut off their little nuts....that's what they do to male cows to make them steers. Bonus is that the nuts when fried taste like oysters, hence the name mountain oysters. But since this isn't a ranching thread I'll give you my opinion what to do with the dick. Murder it....unless you really like a certain female clone and would like to cross it off with another strain. I kept a male once and pollinated an ex friend's patch who owed me money...payback is a bitch or in this case a dick.

You made the right choice!! Breeding isn't what it's cracked up to be anyway. Even if you had a mom you liked, the offspring would have been inconsistent, much like bag seed.

Let the breeders make seeds.

If you cross a black cat with a white cat, you're likely to get a few black cats, a few white cats, some tabbies, and maybe a tuxedo. You definitely don't get a bunch of identical gray cats, you get a bunch of random phenotypes, often phenotypes not expressed directly by the parents, but by someone in the extended family, like an aunt.

Thats good. There is a more thorough way of killing them though. You should remove all of your clothes and throw that bastard down and dance on him. It cleanses the soul it does. :)
