Should be fine, its not good for the plants to sit in the water, but an isolated incident wont be an issue. It basically prevented your plant from drying out at all for this time, because as water was used by the plant, more would be sucked in from the bottom, never allowing for oxygen to get to the roots. You might get a little wiltiness, but if your soil drains well they should bounce back fine. It's my understanding watering as the lights go on is best, like its morning for the plants. It's hard for me to always water right when the lights go on, but definitely want to avoid watering in the dark or too close too it. Dark, moist, and cold equals fungus, mold, and mildew. For example I always get mushrooms in my lawn over night, and they die by the afternoon when the sun comes out.
