Hello, my current run is my first attempt at growing organically as well as my first grow in coco.
It’s went surprisingly well….I started with 3 plants, a Jack Herer, an Amnesia, and a Gelato OG.
I flipped them to 12/12 on July 14 and the Jack was showing pistils immediately. I harvested it already last week and am very happy with the quality.
Anyway, the Amnesia is the next closest and to my eye looks pretty ripe. Pistils have all turned and receded w/ the exception of a handful of random new white ones.
She’s really showing some colors, mainly purple, but is fading fast…all the bigger leaves are yellow and the purple ones are dying off quickly. There is some green foliage remaining but it’s tiny little bud leaves.
In short, the plant has given about all it can give…..however, the problem is the the trichomes. There are way too many clear ones to harvest right now.
It’s the craziest combo of trichomes ever….a fair number of ambers but probably as many clears as milkys.
So now I’m wondering what to do next.
I’m growing in FF 70/30 buffered coco amended with dry organics ( kelp meal, bat guano, langebeinite, EWC, Gaia green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4) and last top dressed about 3-4 weeks ago. I’ve also given a tea (w/ EWC, molasses, etc) throughout flower to help with the microbial life. Light is a HLG 320 LED.
IMO the plant needs another week at least for the trichs to mature a bit. But like I said, there isn’t much green leaf to work with.
Should I feed her?
Another top dress is not a good idea but I do have some Buddha Bloom, which is organic and available to the plant Faster than the dry amendments I believe.
OR should I give it another dose of tea?? Im thinking there is some organic nutrients stored in the medium and maybe jump starting the microbes might help push the plant over the edge.
Or, should I just shut up and wait and in a week I’ll have less clear trichs and it should be perfect…..??
The pics are from this morn
