Hey just wondering if I could get peoples input on what a good setup would be for 30 plants indoor. Like square footage, lights and ventilation . Doing 15 in Veg and the other half flower.

Any advice is appreciated Thank you! :weed:

It would be alot easier to help if you gave us some rough details of what you want, how much space you have, and how much $$ too
30 5ft plants or 30 in a SoG, etc etc

15 in flower , 4 one thousand watt hps lamps 8 inch cool tubes. co2 and two 10 thousand btu portable ac units, and a dehumidifier, will be rocking it ! no ventilation because of ac and pumping co2, vent it out when you open the door to go inside and water, for veg its not picky. one 8 bulb t5 4 footers to start new clones can grow plants 6 inches tall before you put them under you one thousand watt mh bulb then grow them 3 feet tall in veg, one large fan keep air moveing . doing it my way I promise you if your smart with money youll never work again !, cost set up under 2k buy the cool tubes from ebay saves you a lot of money

Thanks for the great advice! How many sq ft should the flower room be?

portable ac units are the most inefficient means of cooling a room. Mini splits are the most efficient without getting into water cooled gardens.
as far as the flowering rooms size, that should depend on the size of the bulbs in the hoods.
for 1kw bulbs id go for a 5x5 footprint for each hood with maybe an extra foot or two around each to move and work.
id set the flowering rooms on a flip in two separate rooms, have two 6x12 rooms with two hoods and 8 plants in each room.
veg under a couple 600w mh and you'll be able to stagger your grow out with two or three sets of 4 plants vegging at different stages.
If staggered correctly you can pull a lights plants down every two weeks
if you want to run co2 the room needs to be completely sealed, the hood ventilation is the easiest way for co2 to escape, use zip ties and duct tape to seal them very well.
the only way to be absolutely sure they don't vent co2 out if the have a close loop system inside the room but that would need water cooling and a lot more money

i agree, don't use portable a/c's, a window A/c is more efficient than those things.. but yes mini splits or small a/c setups are ideal because they're so efficient. Its a really good idea if you plan to use a lot of lights to yes use cool tubes and put them on a seperate loop going outside, and keeping your room completely sealed.
now you can use co2 if wanted once you learn to use your equipment

as far as medium goes you can go with soil or hydro
I like hydro because the medium is inert, soil is organic and brings unwanted pests in. i save the organics for outdoors. The easiest method in my opinion is hempy. it uses two small holes put up about 2" from the bottom of the pot to create a resevoir. this resevoir wicks moisture up for the hempys to feed on and is technically hydro because the medium is hydro
you can do this with soil too though
other setups to look into are rdwc, drip, ebb and flow, or aeroponics
i like the idea of drip with coco in airpots the most because you get air through the medium by using airpots, with the added benefit of coco and ultimate oxygenation in the rootzone, in my eyes, a cheap form of aeroponics
