Need advice on grow technique + rep

hey .. how do u guys think i can maximize my yeild ? im growing in a small closet its 2footwide x 1 foot deep x 4 foot high, do u think im better off just growing 1 slut and growing her nice and tall ? or like 5-8 little plants maybe 12/12 from seed? i just 1 plant scrog ? need some idea's guys +Rep

i would get 4,, 2 gallon square plastic mop buckets,walmart has them for $2 get 3 bags of perlite for $7 each..let each plant get about a foot tall then bud it. lowes has (bright effects) 100w 6500k cfl's a 4 pack is $8 get 2,, 4 packes and 4 plastic spliters(they let you put 2 bulbs in 1 light socket) you'll need 4 lamps or something to put the bulbs in and a fan of some sort. paint the closet flat white and you're ready to start.are you doing seeds? if so lowes and walmart have a plastic dome with 72 peat pucks for about $10 get 1.pm me when your ready,get some pics of your closet.is smell going to be a problem? if so you got a few weeks to make a filter,i have made a few kinds that work cheap.

sorry for the smoking while typing rambling paragraph its hard to remember everything but gravity flower hardener is worth looking at for a better yield.i'm around if you need anything.

my diesel..3 weeks or so left till harvest time.

im growing from seeds .. i allready have a 250 hps, and ive done grows b4 so my closet is all setup just trying to figure out how im going to grow

what sort of lst ? i dont have much side room exspecially if im growing 4 plants , although i do have some head height.

johnny i dont have a clue how those hempy buckets work

if you get an hps or mh light you will need to vent it out of the closet so look for a cool tube or air cooled hood.and you will need an inline fan for it. is there a budget for this grow? money makes a big difference in what can be done.

Go with bigger pots than you think you need..I'm a firm believer of more root=more bud..I've got 16 1.5ft tall lst bushes under my 1k in a 4.5x4.5 tent and aiming for a full, even, lsted canopy that is an even layer of compact cola buds

get the bucket put a pencil sized hole 2 inches from the bottom..fill the bucket with the perlite and put you peat puck or rockwool starter into it when roots are coming out the bottom..if you going to do it this way its very very easy you can set up an auto feed or just hand water like i do.with this way you can't over-water and as long as you don't let the bottom 2 inches get really dry you won't underwater.if you decide to do these pm me when you find what nutes your going to use and i'll tell you how much to give them.

i grow 5-6ft plants in a 3 gallon so a 2 gal is good for you.if your doing a hempy if your in soil you may want 3 gallons for a 2.5-3 ft plant

I did it this way because I wanted to decrease veg time and not have a bunch of lower, fluffy buds..kinda like sog..hence the compact number of plants and short veg time..also I've got my girls that will probably finish 2ft tall in 5gal pots,way more than anyone recommends, yet my roots were filling the container at under a foot when I switched them bloom..also get some micorrhizae

I am also doing organic and not feeding hydroponic nutes..so my roots have to work harder

if you see my first set of pics thats all there is to it a bucket full of perlite and one hole for drain. low nute ppm 200-400 ph 5.6 -6.0 ,this set up mimics your plants roots hitting ground water.i put 12 5ft plants under my 1000w hps every other plant is on a bucket in a circle under the light so more light gets to the lower branches and every plant top is 2ft from my light.this is the best set up i've done yet.when i harvest i'll know for sure how good this is.but its looking good so far.

before you flower your plants cut all the lower branches off the bottom half and make clones out of them its called lolly-popping.lets the top be just the big main cola's and reduces how much light you need.

yes soil takes bigger pots than any hydro system will.you can use hydroton clay pebbles or turface game-saver..if your looking to auto feed look into bato buckets they have drains ready to go.

Personally with that small of a space and using 250w hps, I would prob go with about 4-6 plants, maybe 2gl square pots and start flower when they reach about 10-12 inches, cause their going to atleast dbl in size so its always better to play it safe rather than outgrow your space. Hopefully you got some indica dominant plants, do some lst (supercropping, tie downs) to fill out the space, maybe even go with 2 or 3 plants in bigger pots to give them more room to do their thing. It seems like this is the first time your using this space so trust me the last thing you wanna do is have those girls out grow height wise, after your first grow you should have a better idea of the optimal amount of plants to maximize your yield, but personally I would just go for pure quality rather than worrying too much about yield when dealing with that kinda space. Figure out some sort of ventilation, cause during flower its gonna get rather hot and humid, so your gonna want some fans, hopefully some sort of exhaust and a small mounted desk fan and if smell is a factor then you'll need a carbon filter, which you can jimmy rig one up yourself, I'll try and find this link that shows an easy diy method for about $40 rather than spending a grip. Anyways I would shoot for a few short bushy little bitches, but you could always go more plants and lollipop them or let them go all natural, I would just make sure to start your flowering in probably about 2-3wks depending on how vigorous they are. Another thought would be to look into some auto-flowering strains, Im about to run some auto ak's during my other plants veg and also try some outdoors to see what I can get. Ive seen ppl with these ak's get anywhere from 10g-90g per plant, but seems they average somewhere around 20-40g which in my opinion is pretty good, compared to other auto strains Ive seen. Like I said I dont yet have any personal experience with them but they would work great in your closet.
