dimensions 55"x25" height of 92" so im trying to figure out how to set up a veg chamber on the top then on the right side put an inline fan in with a carbon scrubber to get rid of smells and i need it to ventilate the flower room and the upper veg chamber so basically im lookin for ideas here on the best set up (fans veg chamber size and anything else imma newb to this)..what im planning is to like i said make a veg up top flower on the bottom ventilation on the right side into the closet that is hooked next to it of the same size...side info is im in an apt complex i can't have any smell and id like to keep the noise as nill as possible so i was going to shoot for an oversize fan for the room and use a controller to cut the speed in half as i read on here but i would like some help with what fans work the best quietest and aren't super expensive trying to make it cost effective as possible

here are the picks of the flower chamber the upper shelf id like to set up my veg in so any ideas are welcome

That would be fine, if you can keep your veg lights from leaking into your flower area. Either your flowering area or your vegging area must be light-proofed if they're going to be in the same box. It would be much easier to have 2 seperate grow areas, first of all because your veg closet won't have to be light-proof so you can grow it pretty much anywhere. Second of all, no light-proof = cheap and easy ventilation. Really all you need for a veg closet is a light and a fan, I use an armoir with the doors removed. No extra ventilation, no sealing it up, just some CFLs and a box fan. Veg areas are so ridiculously easy to set up that it doesn't make sense to complicate it like you are trying to do. I'm not saying it can't be done, it's just a lot of work and customization to put into a closet that you don't own.

yea i may just build a veg box cause i want to also make it a place to house a mother so i might just do that cause like you said it's alot of customization...i got a 6inch vortec inline today so that will help with the temp and any smell when it comes along..just trying to get this all figured out so i appreciate the feedback..if i was going to do so though i would make a lightproof box uptop side and perhaps use a 2foot cfl setup for my vegg but as i also said then i need to create another box kinda for my mother or 2 mothers so maybe just make a huge box up top to hold that or dagit i dont kno......main questions are what kinda saw do i need to cut a hole in the way for my ducting and fan a jig zaw? cause ill need to create holes nicely that i can patch together before i move out

why do you have to scrub the veg chamber?

you dont need a saw, you need a router. a jigsaw will work but you need a steady hand. and patching drywall is easy, stores sell kits that come with the mesh, spackle, applicator, you just need to stick, smooth, sand, paint.

it wasnt for smell if i made a sealed veg chamber was just for air flow but after a 6 inch vortec and a 4 x 12 carbon filter i won't have room to make a veg chamber there so i will stealth up an old dresser because as i said i need a spot big enough for mothers also...mike91sr a router? i have an adjacent closet and i would like to close the door up so that's why i need to pop a hole in the wall and goto the closet next over to vent the hot air and cleaned air..so please explain a little more

i plan to get a few seeds shortly so after that im going to need to set up a ScroG setup so info on what type of mesh/wire screen should i use to work the best for my plants im thinkin on gettin a G13x butterscotch cross named "the big" from bc bud depot and possibly some og kush or headband

scrubbing and venting are 2 different things. a 6inch inline with a larger filter is overkill if you dont care about smell anyway. Pick up a $25 4" duct booster from home depot. Everyone here hates on them but if youre just trying to move air they work great, just not with a filter providing resistance. Hell even a couple larger cpu fans or a 4" desk fan mounted in a hole could do the job.

im using chicken wire, as well as half the people on this forum. It's cheap, easy, and cheap. But I'm not a huge fan of it, it's "sharp" on the stems and too weak to hold plants down so you may have to hang weights or tie it to the floor(I just tied string to the screen and stapled it to the floor at the height I liked) easy but kind of annoying to work around. The only thing I like about it is the shape and size of the holes

no no no dude smell is a huge huge issue for the veg chamber smell isn't i was saying i need to have 0 smell thats why i picked up the 6 inch and the 4x12 carbon filter

i actually saw one of these today when i was at lowes imma do this for my veg/mother set up outside of the closet

i was thinking of constructing a box for my fan/filter to reduce noise also as that could also be an issue need it to be quiet and odor proof as possible

Communication block here, and I realize I also didnt answer your question about a router. It's a cutting tool that is rotary instead of reciprocating. Ive used em to make holes for speaker boxes. I was looking at that cabinet at lowes too!

so you mean the drill bit pieces that are circular for like a door knob install? i wasn't sure if they made them that big id rather go that route obviously due to a perfect circle if this is what your talkin but i just copped a black and decker jig saw a compact one to do my damage but i may look into what i just spoke about actually for the reason stated..also thanks for answerin the question

edit* i need to put a 6inch hole for the ducting

its not a drill its a tool of its own. google it. Jig saws are tough, but get some expanding foam and youll be able to fill any gaps. Good luck

yea i got a jigger so imma go that route and do what you said actually sum tape and expanding foam should seal it up nicely i just wish i didnt buy 20$ worth of flexible ducting cause i can just use a straight duct either way ill post pics shortly of what i have done
