I remember reading about UV for pest control, years ago. I haven't really heard anything about it recently though.

You would only be using UV light for a few seconds or minutes a day, not all the time.

Another question hahah,
What do you think about the vpd table? In that table you can seed that ideal humidity for photosynthesis is quite high in most temperatures. I also think that uva and uvb could allow to run a higher humidity according to the vpd chart and not risk yourself to mold.

do you mean the VPD chart vapour pressure deficit.

I also came to the conclusion that you need 1.3 watts/m^2 of led light reading Randomblame posts. The only difference is that for 12 hours a day not 6 but he gives double the dosage of uvb that an article he posts in that thread. If you go by the article then you need 1.3 watts/m^2 for 6 hours a day.

And with all the respect listing the amount of uvb in watts as that article does is incorrect. They should a least put a wattage and an efficiency level.

At the start of this I said if you want to no can stop you.

I linked that as it was the only one that I found that’s dated within the last year using my Google fu lol.

That is not offense to you, I know you only posted a recent article without checking every detail. I wanted to say that because the author has a PHD and is supposedly writing a scientific article, and I find that mistake quite bad....

And really im really thankful that some people answer my questions, you have been great with me so it was not my intention to offend you in any way !!! It was a dig for the PHD that wrote that.

my biggest question would be is it something that commercial growers are doing to increase their THC content for shelf appeal?

If not that would be the reason I wouldn’t bother tbh with you.

I’ve been honest from the start with what I did know and I had to Google fu to find that info about exposure and time exposed etc.

it’s an area that hasn’t interested me for around 8 years and that was only from what I read once in an article when it was talking about UVA UVB UVC and was only a small 2-4 page article.
