Yup. Hammer them things! About 3” for seedlings is good to start.
I keep a t5 about 6" or even less from seedlings as long as I can keep the temp no higher then around 78°. Once they're hardened off I keep the t5 as close as I can without the plant being closer than about a half inch by the time I adjust the light at the end of each day.[/QUOTE]See thats the issue I was having with my t5's. About 15 inches from my seedlings. They were stretching so much and starting to fall over I had to add soil to the cup to keep them from falling over . I put them under the led 2 days ago so I'll check on them when I get home tonight
Yep, really any more than about 3" and some strains will get a bit stretchy before they harden off. I put 6" out there as a safe compromise in case of warm rooms.Yup. Hammer them things! About 3” for seedlings is good to start.
I've got the 4 ft 8 bulb t5 fixture . How many of the t5s should I have on ? 5,000 lumens per bulb..2 bulbs maybe ?Yup. Hammer them things! About 3” for seedlings is good to start.
If they're like the ones I have where you can run the 4 on the inside or the 2 on both sides I'd run the 4. If they don't cover everything then run the full fixture.I've got the 4 ft 8 bulb t5 fixture . How many of the t5s should I have on ? 5,000 lumens per bulb..2 bulbs maybe ?
Yeah that's what They are . Either 4 middle or the last 2 bulbs on each side. Only have 6 seeds popped currently . 4 plants in veg close tIf they're like the ones I have where you can run the 4 on the inside or the 2 on both sides I'd run the 4. The 4’ is a bit overkill but yeah, run the 4 bulbs. I have 1 18” and 1 24” over a 10x20 seed tray for my seedlings. Ill take them to like 6 or 7 nodes under that then move them to my main veg area.Yeah that's what They are . Either 4 middle or the last 2 bulbs on each side.
