Need an Outdoor Ontario STRAIN!

Ok I'm to lazy to type something big (I am tired as hell, going to bed soon) so I'll just keep this STRAIGHT and basic to the point.

I have been RESEARCHING my ass off in search of a good Outdoor Ontario Strain! (Southern Ontario). I have found many but none of them is what I need.

So please I need the PERFECT all around outdoor Southern Ontario strain.

I am looking for YIELD, decent growth effort and potency. YIELD is mostly what I want.

I want a strain that will thrive outdoors and reach monster sizes (given enough time) and that can produce 1lb + of bud. I KNOW it depends on location, fertz, soil, nutes etc please do not tell me that. I have that thought out already, now I just need the perfect strain! I plan to veg indoors for 2 weeks and plant outdoors may first. I will not be able to veg more then 2 weeks indoors, MAYBE 3 weeks. Strain has to be an early finisher (obviously) since frost comes in mid October, not always but I'm not taking the chance.

So please guys list me some strains that will be kick ass for outdoor in Ontario, seedbank/breeder will be great too!

OH and no Dr Greenthumb strains please, yes I know they are bomb but out of my price range, period.

I am overwhelmed with deciding for a strain I don't even care anymore I just want a strain that will do the job and produce big. Please no Nirvana strains as they are complete shit genetics. Good seed bank/price but crap genetics.

Thanks to anyone who helps me, greatly appreciate it, you have no idea. (I have grown twice outdoors so far successfully, bagseed, so I know what I am doing)

3rd year growing in the wonderful province of British Columbia. Im growing a bit north of the city of chilliwack (east of vancouver). From what I belive the climate is somewhat similar to Ontario. As I was a senior in highschool (living in san diego) I ordered several strains that I thought would be a nice match for my plans for BC growing. I ordered 10 regular Northern lights, 1 fem Master kush, 1 fem Super Skunk, 1 fem White widow, 1 fem Purple Kush, 1 fem Kawaii GOld, and 1 fem ak48. After seeding all of my females with the male northern lights I came out with around 200 seeds per strain. Ouut of all of my plants I had to say that the kush and northern lights strains did the best. After all they were the heavy Indica Hybrids. The SKunk did fairly well, but about a quarter of my crop was ruined by a terrible mold. the white widow was shit. a good strain but it was just too sativa for the colder climates. It finished but It was small, gumpy and I had temp problems with it throughout the season. Ak48 was similar to the white widow but did better. much better. the Northern lights In my opinion did the best. Although the yield wasnt so great (averaging 9ozs per plant) I had very few problems. VERY hardy plant. The master kush was a great yielder but had a few problems. So keep those strains in mind. Next year I Tried out big bud from Nirvana (all of my strains were from Nirvana byu the way). The big bud was a huge success but a huge failure at the same time. It grew MASSIVE! 6 feet tall with around 1.5lb average yield HOWEVER........... almost half of my crop was fucked by mold. Now of course, larger yielding plants will have more of a mold issue but it WAS worth it. maybe. In ontario there is much much much less percipitation, I would very highly suggest a Big bud/Master Kush/Northern lights hybrid strain. Or just a straight up Big bud. it has its heavy Indica background with a bit of sativa. It grows large with few problems aside the mold. Northern lights is supreme. no problems. small yield. Master kush had few problems, decent buud and medium yield. Purp Kush was similar to MK just a smalller yield. and the others were not worth growing again. GOod luck my fellow canadian friend

i like swiss chesse. but you gotta watch theres lots of breders and not all swiss chesse not all white window are the same look around for harvest dates some are earlier and some are super late. i also crossed my own plants.... a few yrs ago i crossed white widow with swiss chesse i then kept the one plant out of about 50 that didnt mold and had white widow traits. heavy cyastal. i crossed that with pine wharp this yr going to see how that turns out. also what kind of prob are you running in to. mold i have a few tricks that help with mold 1 i stretch my plants before i put them out. i get them tall. and i strip all the branching below my knees. this keeps the buds off the ground. the farther away they are the better, also raised beds just a bucket with the bottom cut out or a few logs stacked up and filled in with soil helps i also spread sulfer around my plot it kills mold before it can grow. not in it if the ph is ok just around it in the woods. and keep all the brush and grass away from the plants keep the ground as dry as you can. i mulch but if it rains i pull it off. i have even cover the ground with plastic the last four weeks so the plant couldnt get water. the plant pulls enough threw the leaves and they suck up the morning dew no bud rot. hope i could help. swiss chesse is great for mold. but not a huge yeild going to have to find something and cross it and keep those plants. the church is good also

I just spent 3 months looking for an outdoor that will stand up to high winds and cold temps such as are experienced in Canada. So, I figured the best option was to order direct from a breeder in an area subjected to shitty weather.

Take a look at Peak seeds BC.

Hahaha I was just reading and you said "please no nirvana strains as thy are shit". Remember. There is no shitty strains of the great herb, just shitty growers. Have a good day.

Sir, you are wrong. I said they have shit strain genetics. Of course the grower is what counts, Guarantee you could get any strain from Nirvana and produce kick-ass bud but the thing is they are unstable as hell. Meaning I could get an indica strain that takes 7 weeks flowering, and end up with a crap sativa or sativa pheno that takes 11 weeks to flower.. You catch my drift? When your growing outdoors you cannot risk unstable genetics. That's why their seeds are so cheap.

that's wrong I grew 8 plants of one of their strains and they all finished at the same time,I did have one plant that was a little more sativa but it finished at the same time just yielded a bit more cuz it was the tallest

Hey dude (dudette?)

I'm a northern Ontario grower and have seen quite a few outdoor operations in the area. All the outdoor growers up here that I've interacted with prefer Northern Lights, Jack Herrer, Bubleicious, AK47 and White Rhino for their outside gardens.

Just found this thread in a google search... its not too old so I decided to bump it again.

Im looking for the same thing here, good yielder is important, but mainly MOLD is my concern, I want something I can harvest mid October, I'm in southern ontario. Could easily veg for a month before transplant. From reading this thread it looked like Northern Lights is a good option, problem is which breeder? and theres NL #1 to #5 so which NL?

So which NL? and which breeder?

Try this guy, I spent 3 months looking for a breeder whose gear can handle Fall storms during flowering...settled on them finally.
