Thanks for the help once again guys, going with the 6 strip 4x4 setup. Would the HLG-240h-42AB "perform" better than the XLG-240-H-AB for being roughly $20 more? Wouldn't mind paying the difference if there's a benefit to one than the other. Also, do I wire in parallel or series (another thing I have to google, lol)

The HLG is a percentage point or two more efficient than the XLG and has a longer warranty (7 years vs. 5 years).

Your strips will need to be wired in parallel if you use either one of those drivers.

HLG 240H 42AB seems to be sold out everywhere, can I go with just 42B? Or just go with the widely available XLG?

Hi fellow LED geniuses, if I'm going with a 3 strip version of this build for a 2x4 setup, would it be better to go with a 100 watt XLG driver or 150 watt XLG driver?

edit: Will be using a dimmer for either one.

Is it for veg?
I dont know its hard to say, how hard donyou want to push your plants? Id prolly go for 150, at least. The good thing with the xlg-h is that they can easily be repurposed in another project.
