Need expert advice. Lost the last grow!

I lost my last grow due to the dreaded slime choking my roots. I have read everything online, the ICMAG thread...ect, about the problem. I understand what is does why.
The last round my clones were doing good with white healthy roots straight from my ez cloner 30 site. I did the exact same thing I always do when cloning and added the same tap water (145 ppm and dechlorinated) with 3 drops of super thrive, 1 ml of clonex, and ph 6.2. I transferred them to a dwc unit for veg and got slimed.
I think I know why I messed up. I was adding h202 with some Botainicare pro grow, LK, super thrive, and hygrozyme. I think the h202 killed my organic ferts thus feeding to the problem.

So, I started over after trying DM zone...ect. I cleaned the ez cloner with a h202 run, a bleach run, and 3 plain water runs. I took clones from mom, which is very healthy and over a year old in a dwc bucket (she was never affected by the slime, but has been given hydroguard and later Plantacillin, so I imagine she has a good healthy culture of bacteria. I have the ez cloner set with the same tap + super thrive+ ph 6.2. Its been 12 hours and they are green and not wilting. My problem though, has never been in the ez cloner, but in the dwc buckets.

I will watch the clones, and I usually get them to root in 5-7 days. I don't think I will choose to transfer them into the dwc buckets this time, but let them hang out for a week longer in the ez cloner. I plan to transfer them into an ebb and grow system with hydroton.

My question is, should I use beneficial bacteria, such as the plantacillin, when the clones begin to root? Will the BB culture in the ez cloner? Should I culture them in my ebb and grow system with the hydroton before I place them into the ebb and grow? My head is spinning and I have a fresh start and need some clarification. Can someone help a man out?

My water does have some chloromite, but I have always used the same city water and let it sit out for al least 24 hours with an air stone in it.

IMO, you should quit using the Hygrozyme. I grow in soil, and if I mix it in with my other ferts, then let it sit for a couple days, it'll start growing slimy stuff. It never does that if i don't add Hygrozyme to the mix, so that has to be the cause.

Jawbrodt,
Thanks for the reply! I have been using hygrozyme for years with no problems in a drip slab system and dwc. I have been using it for my mother plant which is over a year old, but with a big healthy rootball. I have read in posts both the good and bad of hygrozyme. There is no solid answer, just testimonials. I have reported great results in the past while using it.
The last run through with my clones, I used h202 with hydro organic ferts (full Bontanicare, hygrozyme, superthrive) in a dwc and I think that, a little bit of nute burn, topping, and transplanting stress did them in and could never recover. Hygrozyme has an unlimited shelf life and should help the problem. Not sure what to think.

^Have you recently switched to any new ferts, or other additives? I'm thinking that the Hygrozyme isn't compatible with all types, but that's just a theory of mine.lol IDK, tough to say. Maybe I'll mix up a couple small batches, with different mixes, and see if i can pinpoint which is causing the slime problem. I'm not positive, but, I'm pretty sure that Hygrozyme doesn't turn slimy if it's mixed on it's own. Hmm....that's a tough one to figure out, if you haven't really changed anything.

I think I figured out what I did wrong. I was using the same hydro organic ferts I always use. I just destroyed the organics by putting h202 in the system and without any beficials, they killed my plants. I then used an air stone from the same grow and my contaminated probe and spread the nasties to my clone dwc unit which had no beneficials in it as well. SInce my clones were only 2 weeks old, they took over. I am bleaching my ebb and grow, sanatizing the hydroton, using physan 20 on the ebb and grow before the next flower, and not using h202.

Jawbrodt, I was using hygrozyme on my mother which shared the same room and same hydro organic ferts, and water, but used a different meter. I also never used h202 on her so that must be why she has no slime. My mom is also in DWC, so she should have gotten it as well.
Lesson... don't use h202 with hydro organic ferts. It will make the ferts food for the slime!
