Think you need more lights and closer to the buds, check out Lowes they sell a 2700k 65 watt (300 watt equivilent) CFL (Bright Effects) they are about 15 bucks each but worth it. My first grow was similar to yours and I noticed better results with the larger cfls. It looks like you are using those clamp on fixtures, I would put the hoods on some of them to focus more light downward towards the plants. These guys with HPS setups are pushing 50,000 lumen so the more light you add its going to help. Back off the nutes with using the MG soil that may help the yellow spots.

I'm not sure how large your grow area is but I think your real problem is the fact you're not putting out enough lumens per square foot. Not having a large amount of wattage or proper lumens per square foot can create loose, airy buds with increased distance between nodes. Take the square footage of the bottom of your grow area and divide that by your total lumens output. The sun on a nice day can project 10,000 lumens per square foot. It is possible for cannabis to grow with as little as 3,000 lumens per square feet; however, 7,000-10,000 is preferable. Additionally, other users have reminded you to use 2700k spectrum bulbs for flowering! The higher overall wattage, the better!!! Especially when flowering; you want your babies to grow nice dank buds, oozing with resin.

Hope we have helped!

Yes, More 2700k bulbs....Use the highest watt CFL u can find...Or even better, save up and get an HPS..... What do you mean "green" bulbs? .....But small fluffy nuggs is most commonly attributed to not enough light. (lumens)

Equal to 100 watt refers to incandescent wattage... 26 watts is your actual wattage and what you need to go by. Also you don't want colored cfls... Simply put 5000k-6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. I currently have 4 20w cfls with 6 26 watt cfls on one flowering plant. 236 actual watts :weed:

one bulb produces 1700 lumins

Which is good. Again I have 6 26w = 10,500 lumens and 4 20w = 4,800 lumens for a total of 15,300 lumens on one plant. Sure you could do it with less, and absolutely you could do it with more.

Are you ready to drop a minimum of $400 for a single set LEDS? If not, it's not worth it! Don't be fooled by cheap ebay LED grow lights for $100. They will not give you enough wattage or lumens. Remember to calculate your lumens per square foot, not total lumens divided by amount of plants. let's say you're going to use 15,300 total lumens as well in your "standard closet" that probably measures about 2'x3'. 15300/(2x3)= 2550 lumens per square foot. Gotta bump up those lumens!!! If you're going to use CFLs try going with the 45w, 85w & 100w (or larger!) bulbs. Go to 1000bulbs.com and you can get around twelve bulbs (6 for each spectrum ) for between $150-$200.
