Ok so i got done hang drying my Kush and over dryed. So i looked up some techniques and used the orange peels technique and lettuce but how long do you cure after moist again and how often do you burp?

What I do is take a slice of potato and stick it ontop of a few paper towels inside the jar and leave it in there for 20-30 minutes. After that, burp accordingly. Burping is all on personal taste. When it's dry enough, seal it and stick it in the fridge.

i would jar them. once a day take a bud out if it feels like its getting real moist i'd air out the buds, if its still too dry put that bud back in and keep curing. how crispy is the bud is it breaking down to crumbs when you break a bud or is it just crunchy

once your marijuana has dried too much in an over dry, it is physically impossible to restart the curing process by rehydrating.

if it is hayish smelling and scragely feeling you are likely too late and have done nothing to help with the peels. best route to take after making this mistake is to jar it asap and do not open your jars at all unless you got lucky and still had enough moisture you couldnt detect originally, if this happens you may be able to get a full cure still, if it only barely dampens you may still get a partial cure and ditch the crappy smell at least, and if it never returns to a moist state in any way shape or form, you have ruined your crop :( if that is where you are at and it was surely too dry before you added peels (which i would never do) your best option is to dry it all out and break up the nugs and make some water hash imo

It is getting damper it's been a plastic ziplock bag for about 3 hours. How damp should I get it and from there what steps should I take?

You have to bag it up tightly in a trash bag as soon as you harvest and then bury it a foot or more deep and then dig it up about two to four weeks later if you want it to be really dank, it's the method all the pros use.

Never heard of that I'm a new grower just been trying to perfect my grow and harvest, I feel like I messed up with drying this go round but luckily I have another grow that's about two weeks from harvest and I want to make sure I do it the correct way this time

lol beardo is messing with you....so if it was crumbly and real dry rehydrating did nothing and at this point i would just dry it out again quick just let it sit out over night and make hash out of all of it...or smoke it but it wont taste right or get you all that high compared to concentrating it into hash...

almost everyone makes this mistake once...better to jar a bit wet and be vigilant in opening it and keeping mold in check than to over dry before the cure! your looking for a barely damp on the outside to kind of prickly but still fluffy moist feeling inside while your curing.

Putting orange peels in with bud is a great way to breed mold. Kermi5 is righ5 that if its too dry you wont get a cure...itll still get ya high but will be harsh and no5 too tasty...which is better than moldy.

Im with the too damp is better than too dry camp too...if...you are vigilant. Once the nugs on the branch are dry feeling on the outside I final trim and toss into paper sacks to let moisture redistribute while letting a small amount of air in...once it feels spongy BUT comes back to its shape when pinched its ready to jar...if you pinch and it just squishes its too wet...if it crumbles. ..well too dry.

hmm i dont get how some people dry for so long...maybe its environment but i only dry for like 3 days, im also never drying pounds at a time either so idk..but 7 days would put me at over dry from my experiences and my shit is not fluffy or anything so idk..although i do use an indirect fan for drying

Im with you Kermit usually my stuff is ready to brown bag in 3-4 days and thats with only fan leaves taken off. My crop is usually about 1.5 to 2 lbs these days so not large amounts. However back when i would harvest 20+ lbs and it would fill an entire bedroom on strings from ceiling to floor it would take at least a week but im pretty sure thats because the rooms RH would skyrocket to the point of needing a dehumidifier.....im in wqshington state too on the west side...its not a dry area.

If i left my small crops hanging for a week it wouldnt be fresh enough to cure.
