Need Help Asap

My 400 watt MH light is about 1 1/2 feet above my plant. I just put it in today. before i was use A CFL light. my temp jump from 82.1 to lowest yet 84.1 highest before i left doors open to kool down 87.3. i have a circulating fan on the floor blowing on them and a fan hanging from my cieling blowing down onto the plants. i know i need a fan to blow out hot air but is my light to far away? do i need to move it futher away? and can i add vitamin B-1 eventhough im using BLACK GOLD soil and it will feed my plants for up to 30days? Plz all help will be much thanked.:joint:

Put the lamp 2 feet away from those seedlings and get a fan to blow directly on them to cool the air around the actual plants. If you live in an apartment keep your heater off for a few days and let the temperature drop and save some money on your heating bill.

you def have to have ventilation pulling the hot air from the lights out of the grow room. if you do thatm, your temps will drop like crazy

:mrgreen:The first pic is my circulating fan on the floor blowing cool air on the plants.The second is a fan hanging from my cieling blowing cool air down on the plants. the third pic is a biggger fan on its side blowing hot air out threw my doors wich i crack alittle. any tips who be noted and thanked for. Plz feel free to critisize anything you see. The more feed back the better :mrgreen:

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Those are too small to be under a 400 watt light they need to be under some florescent shop lights the 4 foot kind.The clay pots are bad as they wick moisture away and roots stick to the pores making transplants hard and add stress..You should have filled the pots to 1/2 inch below the lips.Temps need to come down about 10 degrees right away or you ll have dead plants quick.Keep the room 70-78.Work on getting that light out for awhile and get the temps under control and add that fan at the top of the pots height to stop them from frying and will help make good strong stalks

my pots are plastic. I was told by many people to take out my FLORESCENT light and use my mh one.A fan is blowing nice kool air at the pots level already. i cant make my temp any lower than 83.5. I HAVE THREE fans in there. 2 blowing in. 1 blowing out

set up is in closet. window is close to closet but plants are in the furthest part from the window. Maybe i should switch sides?

well i have low temps but a friend just runs hits heat straight out a window behind his moveable closet. could use a exhaust fan with sum ducting.

u prollly figured it out by now but move the light higher up and don't use nutes until around flowering, the soil has enough, especially for young plants

well whoever said put a 400 watt mh light on plants less then4 inches tall either doesnt grow or was fuckin with you.The output can cause "light poisoning" you get slow growth yellowing and death..If its in a closet and nothing but roof over heat cut a 4 inch hole in the cieling and run some ducting up through thier and then to one of the roof caps on your roof and add an inline fan to bring cool outside air in to the closet. You gotta get your temps under 80 for sure or your gonna stunt the plants and kill your yield

wow ty for leting me know im gonna switch back to my other light for a couple weeks than ty 4 the help.
