just saw that you're giving the young plant bloom fertilizer. that's probably your problem. bloom nutes do not contain enough N. better yet why not foliar and root feed with Epsom salt to green them up. i see you're growing in soil. i don't understand all the bullshit about PH. start with a good potting mix with dolomite and never worry about PH, much less wasting time.

drop your ph .. 6.8 is the boarder line and too close to the edge run 6.5-6.4 i always suggest 6.5 ...... thats definitely one of your problems that really tan color burn generally means your ph is above 6.8 so that makes sense..... get your ph down... your leaves will absolutely look the way they do with high ph.. they will even burn when its been too high too long.. been there ...

humboldt707 knows what he's talking about he's absolutely right the ph matters i don't care what anyone on here wants to say if they say it doesn't they haven't grown in soil properly ever...

well thats something you need to say it makes sense now.. see the young leaves ??the very lower ones they are burnt up... miracle grow soil contains these pellets that are the feed they are time release setup but when you use soil like that AND mix chemicals into your water and feed it fries the plant .... so even though your transplant happened they can still have that shit around the roots in the old soil... eventually your plant will be fine most the new growth doesnt show issues from the soil now..

absolutely freaking not.. you will not ALWAYS get transplant shock.... when you properly transplant and don't break your rooting system when doing it they go through VERY LITTLE to no shock at all... transplanting in hydro is completely different generally the roots always break and or become damaged in some way... in those cases yes the plant can and will stress to some extent. but soil transfers done right creates very little to no shock if you know what your doing and the plant remains in the same environment...
ok then if u think so ;)

1. If you don't disturb the root mass what so ever when you transplant (not one piece of soil or root disturbed or broken), what would cause transplant shock? When I transplant the whole piece comes out of the old pot perfect, goes into the new one and is watered in with PH'd water to 6.6 with orca. Plants don't skip a beat, still have their leaves pointing to the lights and put growth on like normal. Double in size weekly.

2. To tell people that they don't have to worry about PH in soil is absurd. If some ones PH is coming out the tap at 9, theres no soil in the world that will buffer that. It will 100% affect the growth and possible out come of the plant. I like my PH to be 6.4-6.6, found this to be the optimal PH range for soil. When watering/ feeding and you use PH water 8.5-9, the soil is not going to magically lower the PH to the optimal range for nutrient uptake. Its a scientific fact that plants uptake nutrients best in the 6-7 ph range in soil. Every nutrient is used efficiently at slightly different PH but at the 6.4-6.6 range, your in a great range to get the most out of all of them. Plants will still grow if the PH is off, but not optimally and to their full potential.

3. What does your PH come out of the tap at? What is your PH after you mix your nutes? It might explain why you don't have to PH anything.

if ph doesnt matter to plants why the worries of acidic rain such a issue? why the hell do we PH our drinking water... why does any soil system advertise PH levels WHY THE HELL DOES PH PERFECT even fucking matter if ph doesntmatter!!!!! why don't we just feed acid waste to our plants?!??! I MEAN SHIT people..

I use botanicare, love the shit. Ive used and tried just about everything on the market over the past 15 years and settled on botanicare a while ago and haven't looked back since. The only things extra I add are orca every watering during veg, super thrive once and awhile during veg, and earth juice hibrix molasses during flower instead of botanicares sweet products.

With my outdoor I use spray-n-grow once a week during veg. I will use it once and a while indoors, its good shit.

im so lost on why 1/100 growers really understand growing like humboldt707 and a few others on this site.... i have to blame it on bad board information and ignorant grow store owners

cause i see people like humboldt responding with the right answers then he's folded by 20 other dinging answers and his correct answers gets trashed and the BS is the main point of every thread... its irritating

Imo there is a ton of mis information on all of the forum sites. People with 2 plants under cfl's telling people how to fix and run their grows when they have no clue them selves and they only info they know is hear say. I see it all the time and try not to say anything but it drives me crazy when people growing a few plants under 1 light think they know all the answers and argue to the death about it.

(No offence meant to small growers. You gotta start somewhere)

A pound a plant is nothing, even two is nothing. Come to nor-cal if you want to see some real plants.

I use 50/50 happy frog / ocean forest with 3-4 cubic feet of perlite per 100g of soil. Far from shitty soil, plenty of drainage. The key is to water the day before and if you have a great root mass, it will hold everything together perfectly. Id love to see some pictures of these awesome huge plants you grow.
