Yup, if they are 8" tall but are not mature enough (although, plants can be mature enough at that height, maturity mostly depends on age) they will not flower, even under a flowering light cycle...

I really don't believe in trimming a live plant...try LST (Low Stress Training-tying down the main stalk or side branches to decrease height and induce horizontal growth, rather than vertical) but pics would help me suggest what else you can do to shorten them...

OKay so no clones.. do u still think autos are the way 2 go?? less space more plants is what i figured.. and would floros b good enough 2 grow them?? mine would b 4 foot by two bulbs.. i have 2 sets of lights for it 1 for veg and 1 for flower.. Does that sound rite???

Hey, my plants are 3 weeks into veg now and the rounded leafs at the bottom are begining to die, is that suppose to happen?

This is my first grow and i have been reading EVERYTHING i can find about growing. I even purchased Greg Greens "Cannabis Grow Bible" (killer book, i reccommed it to any grower novice or pro) and i've come to understand alot about the subject, and here lies my problem....My plant is about 4-5 weeks into veg. and has about 6-8 sets of fan leaves, while doing regular matainace on my setup today i noticed what seems to be white little pistols starting to form at the base of some of my nodes...does this indicate that its trying to enter the flowering stage? I really wanted it to be at least 8-9 weeks or a good foot and a half before switching to 12/12 to begin flowering. Should the pistols be clearly visible already or is it indicating im not giving it enough light during the day? Any help would be appreciated.

I just bought a 1000w ballast and light. I plugged it in and it blew the breaker......twice. I have a AC plugged into same outlet and one exhaust fan. The wires get hot and so does the surge protector. Is this just too much for one outlet or is this a ballast issue?? Its standard 110 and running HPS. model is from 04 and is switchable. Sunsystem.

Yeah, if you can buy all the seeds, only downside is that it wouldn't be as potent as a regular plant...
You'll probably need more light than that during flowering...

Pics would help to determine if these are indeed pistils that you are seeing...what's your light cycle?
Anyways, a plant is able to show signs of sex, even in the vegetative state, this is a sign that it is mature and ready to flower...but it will not begin to fully flower until the proper light cycle is provided...

It's too much for your breaker, try getting an extension cord and running it to another room, most houses should have a separate breaker for every room...

Thanks for the help, i kinda figuerd i would need nutes soon but i just transferd soils from Miracle Grow, gave my two lil ladys bad nute burn so i aint sure if i should just yet.

Ok one last question...for now any ways, im sure ill have more, but i was just wandering if youve ever bought seeds from Nirvana, i was thinking about it, and its legal to row for medical purposes here but i still dont know if i wana risk buyin over the internet

No, I've never ordered from Nirvana, but I have ordered from The Attitude, with no problems...
