Hi all, I'm 2 weeks into the flowering stage of my first grow and would be really gratefull to recieve any advice or feed back on my current setup, which is as follows:

Grow room is 1m * 1m * 1.7m high. The grow is inside a closet in a spare room and it vents into the attic space, i pull cooler ambient air in from the other side of the attic using ducting.

Maxibright 400 watt ballast with 400w sodium bulb.

Metaglo mylar sheeting.

150mm inline fan (exhaust).

6"Clip on fan (ventalation).

2-4' Chains w/ S hooks.

2*Grasslin segmental timers.

Thermometer & Humidity dial.

Terra Professional Soil.

5 Litre standard round pots.

Canna Terra Flores.

Seeds: Blue Cheese Barneys Farm (Feminized).

I've inherited this grow so to speak; a friend tried himself and failed producing approx 6 ounces from 6 plants, all were grown in normal garden centre compost and each plants was nearly 1.2m tall, using a 250w sodium bulb and feeding his plants baby-bio during the both the vegative & flowering stage!!! Luckily, a healthy plant was taken during the vegetive stage and placed in another closet under a 250w blue crl bulb. 9 cuttings from this mother have been successfully vegetated for a total of 4 weeks and since then they have been thriving in the above mentioned room for 2 and a half weeks on a 12/12 cycle. They currently stand 2 feet tall, with buds forming rapidly, crystals are already abundant forming on both the leaves and the buds. Every 3rd day each plant gets 5ml per litre of canna flores nutes added. The plants are kept a minimum of 8" away from the lamp and the room temp is a consistant 27oC and 50% humidity during lights on. I'm thinking of starting to use some pk 13/14 also? Any feedback or advice on the above would be warmly accepted.

Many thanks.
Very nice setup, how's the pH and ppm levels of your water and nutrient solution?
Everything seems to be in order! Any pics?

i knw but also the leaves are looking like they are drying up and dieing just cause i used neem oil i thought it was good for a plant?

OK here is a good one. I have seven different room here in Oakland CA. where we all have the same problem. Now most of us have been growing for years, some over 10. We are using mostly the same nutrients and the same soil. Two of us are using cubs and all of us are growing different strains.
So here is the problem... The plants look great in Veg. but as soon as we flip them and change up their nutrients they state to show burn. the tip of the leaves start to curl and turn sliver. Then they stat to die and turn brown.
We think it's a Government conspiracy to kill off the home growers and take over market.
What do you think, I thinks it's a spore or pathogen.

i got some clones from a friend and they only grow three leafs. are my clones a waste?
How many nodes are on it? How old are the clones? Anyways, they're probably not...unusual leaf patterns are normal in most cases and they should eventually start to grow normal...

By the description of the problems that are going on, it sounds to be some sort of burn...I'll need a little more info on nutrients, humidity, and temps.?

I need some help! I just started 2 plants in a 3X3 area of my closet. I germinated for about 30 maybe more hours and they had roots coming out of them. I planted them under a simple fluorescent light with a shield and put wrap over the cup for humidity. I already hit the vegetative stage on the first one! Is that normal only after one day in the 18 hour light cycle?

P.S. I am growing in soil...

My first grow: I started 3 plants outdoors. One turned out to definitely be a male, another just seemed to stagnate in the vegetative stage. The third, named Tina, has thrived. She's been in a tiny little red clay pot and is now about 2'-2.5' tall. I know I probably should have transplanted her into something bigger, but she seemed to be doing well, and I've learned in life...if it ain't broke, don't fuck with it. She's tall and not very bushy. I think I waited too long to top her, but...hey...first grow. Whattaya gonna do?

I guess my question is: How does she look? Is she ready for harvest?

It's normal man, cannabis plants are extremely vigorous growers, when provided with optimal conditions...You seem to be doing great...

She looks good, but not close to harvest yet...How long has she been flowering?
You should probably transplant, she will reward you beautifully for it...

I had a Lowrider Blueberry Auto from seed and was so excited when I saw the hairs, but then the leaves and flowers looked so different. It wasn't until I saw the pollen dust that I decided I had a hermie. The ph is 6.0, aero, easy on the nutes, fluoros 24/7. Do you agree that this was just a fluke or is there something about my setup that would stress her into growing balls?

I believe that autos prefer an 18/6 light cycle. The constant light for it's entire life, may have contributed to it becoming a hermaphrodite...

Sup bro. I just started my 12/12 in DWC and noticed that the tops and tips of my plant are turning yellow. I'm thinkin I overfed em.. here are some pics

Should I feed them just plain water for now?

EDIT:
btw, my lights just came on 3 hours early than they were supposed to.. some kind of timer glitch I'll have to check.
I turned it off fast, but the bulb was past the light warming up phase, it was yellow.. maybe exposed for 1 minute at most? Any concerns there?

Photo0311.jpgPhoto0310.jpgI had to go out of town for a few days and didnt raise the lights high enough before i left. Some of the new leaves and the top are very burnt. How bad is this? Will it affect the bud or anything else? And would you suggest cutting off the burnt leaves? Thanks in advance.

Definitely looks like a minor case of nute burn, plain water for now...
As for the light, it shouldn't cause any problems...just get a new timer if the problems persist!

You think I should transplant her, this late in the game? She's been flowering for 6-8 weeks, at this point.

I should add: She's had nothing but water since the flowering has begun. Not knowing exactly how long the process would take, I didn't want to cross the "2 weeks before harvest" barrier and end up altering the flavor. Did some microscope work and the trichomes are cloudy, but not amber.

I have a question on my first hydro setup. I have a ebb and flow table for flower but want to veg in a seperate area not big enough for another table. So I made a setup with a 15 gal Res and a manifold with sprayers like a cloner. It holds 2 six inch net pots with hydroton. When its on the pots are soaked within a minute, should I still run it 24 hours or on like a 15/15 schedule? The other option is to convert it to a drip system, but how long would I run that? I like the drip idea more cause I think my tub might leak alittle with all that spray.
