Northern lights auto grown in soil feed advanced nutes GMB +additives . I’m having this issue on all my plants that are in flower (3)
I flushed my gorilla glue and was wondering if I should flush this girl as well before she gets any further . She’s really dark so lots of food . But lowers look like they’re showing signs of an early lockout since I’ve been feeding her every other watering full strength nutes . My gorilla glue was the same and it led to a nute lockoutin week 6-7 and I don’t want that happening here . Smaller yellower plant is gorilla glue auto and the other large one is northern lights auto both in soil and under 24 hours of light from day 1 . Should I flush the northern lights and restart or is there other methods I can try ? Please help me out anything helps thanks and happy growing A797CC5E-7387-413B-9E72-2830B169A31D.jpeg07759768-9177-4F12-8A8D-B99601BB7AB1.jpegA797CC5E-7387-413B-9E72-2830B169A31D.jpeg07759768-9177-4F12-8A8D-B99601BB7AB1.jpeg7BDDA1B9-C490-47BF-88BD-97B59D145941.jpeg7AA68EB4-242D-4327-B2D2-837042B93001.jpeg9B54E0FC-EDEA-4674-BAA1-297BE4311610.jpegD77DFFCC-1582-406A-AAD3-E2AC69E3F427.jpeg95955AF0-36A9-450A-A457-87ACEE483C44.jpegimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg7BDDA1B9-C490-47BF-88BD-97B59D145941.jpeg7AA68EB4-242D-4327-B2D2-837042B93001.jpeg9B54E0FC-EDEA-4674-BAA1-297BE4311610.jpegD77DFFCC-1582-406A-AAD3-E2AC69E3F427.jpeg95955AF0-36A9-450A-A457-87ACEE483C44.jpeg

The brighter one is burned by nuts (I would say by some booster) and the darker one is as you said running into lockout... Now you need to find out why its happening. The are three main possible reasons: 1) wrong soil pH (probably too low) because of the salt built-up caused by improper watering and feeding schedule 2) you have run out of calmag which locks out other nuts 3) systematic overfertilizing (leads to the point 1). You will probably need to perform flush on them, but you would know more if you check your runoff for pH and EC...

So I just flushed the smaller one the run off ph is at 5.7 so a bit low . I’m getting a ppm meter tomorrow I don’t have one right now . For the larger one should I flush it now or wait till tomorrow to have the ppm meter handy when I do it . The reason is I believe , advanced nutrients GMB I’ve been feeding at full strength every other watering whitch was my first mistake and I wasn’t watering enough since I never had any run off so my guess the salt build up is crazy because no run off =no minor flushing happened ever throughout its life . Should I flush and proceed with only 1/4 strength GMB and no additives every other watering for the rest of its life?

These are autos and I feed them full strength nutrients from advanced nutes grow, micro, bloom ph perfect . I used they’re calculator for the feed chart 4 ml of GMB and 2 ml additives every other watering like they said . But I believe that feed chart is not meant to be used on autoflowering plants .

It is really huge topic (mean soil runoff) but I will try to explain fast and easy. Lets pretend you use suitable soil for growing cannabis (you buy it from a commercial seller who made it specially for this reason). You grow than you flower. You provide food. pH is going down when EC goes up (not all the time but usually it works like this). When Soil dries out EC is rising really high (in the root zone) untill the salts are eaten by the plant. It means that runoff will ALWAYS tell you when you need to provide feeding because the schedules from fertilizer producer are not suitable for plants in your condition (ANYWAY YOU SHOULD USE NUTRIENTS SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR AUTOFLOWERS!!! but with “classic” nuts you can go also.) but in general autos need a lot less nuts than fotos. Schedule you should maintain is only about the ppm values in different stages of plants life. How do you find out which value is actually in your soil (root zone)? Exactly, by runoff!!! So if you need to be on value EC 1,4-1,6 than you provide food for example EC 1,4 than you check your runoff and: 1) when its higher than your plants are not eating and you should pull back feeding 2) is the same than you are happy 3) is lower than you feed. Quite simple in theory but difficult in real run. At the end this is the key and way how you can comunicate with your girls about their needs before they will start to expres it other way...

After flush feed them half PPM!!! recommended value (not half amount of nutes) next water recommended ppm. And check ppm for autos I think its somewhere 1,2-1,4 but I am not sure

There is no reason to use nutrients specially designed for autoflowers. The problem is you over fed them. Advanced Nutrients M-G-B should be fed with no more than 1/2 their recommended dosage once a week (in soil). Then, if the plants look hungry, you can up the dosage from there. I have never had to when I used that nutrient line, though.

Awesome
Thanks a lot for all the help I will def learn more about ppm and how to use it . And my issue is over feeding here. I didn’t know till it was to late that less nutrients is always better then to over feed . Hopefully the ladies will come back to life and finish up . Thanks again

I dont know how long is your watering cycle but when its longer than 2,5 days than you need to feed after 2 waterings. For example when you take 4 days to dry out than you go water - nuts - water - water - nuts. Because when they say: feed every week it means: water - nuts - water - water - nuts because they pretend that you water every other day (2 days after previous watering) and in total it gives you average once a week. And this is actually right but they are testing it on the huge plants in big pot in perfect conditions you will never reach. And also want to sell as much as possible so use it fast and buy a new one. So you must be careful with the feeding.

Yea I’ve tried a few different nuts like quick grow- micro, bloom, veg and “ludicrous nuts- powder 3 part formula but using those with Alberta water gave me a ph of 2.5-3.5 and I had to use a shit tone of ph up all the time so I saw the ph perfect formula and it’s been keeping my ph perfect every time . Are there any suggestions for good inexpensive nuts? In time the plan is to grow organic but I just don’t have the room right now and the time and money to switch right now. Thanks for all the help guys ! I flushed all 3 plants and waiting on the soil to dry up so I can water them and check the runoff ppm and ph in a few days .

When I used bottled nutes I like the Sensi line from AN. I'm doing an organic grow now and it honestly isn't really anymore expensive. Yes, you will need larger pots, but the amendments you top dress and/or make tea from cost a lot less than bottled nutrients. My plants have been growing incredibly well so far (still in early flower) and it's becoming less stressful to me. It definitely took some getting used to the different style of growing, because you need to figure out how to properly water all over again, but I put in a Blumat watering system and the only "watering" I have to worry about now is keeping the reservoir filled.

I don't know which method he uses. I'm just growing in 10 gal pots, with pre-amended soil, and I give each plant compost tea and/or top dressing once a week. This is how mine are looking, as of last night, which was the last day of week 2 of flower
