Miracle gro potting mix just add water, Dont veg under hps, if you want bushy plant you need to veg under fluorescent with a 6500k color spectrum. Do you have insects, your plants are lookin kinda sick.

i would say you have a def of some sort. i would get sum fox farms nutes more light closer for tighter nodes, indicas tend to be short and bushy so next grow try an indica.

what could it be the the soil

The use of rubbish soil for sure.

Remove the infected leaves as soon as possible, and re-pot the plant in some decent soil. If you skimp on the plants most basic needs, then expect to get poor results.

how far away and what kind of light are you using?

3 and half week old.... light only 240watts for now then am chagein to a hps 400watts..
but i need to know whats up with my baby re-pottd them and tuke..sum of the leaves off where do you water them from top or bottom i think its bottom ..

they are pretty stretched, i'd transplant asap if i was you too.

by 240 watts you mean 240w of cfls? you didnt specify and you also didnt tell me how far away you have been/were keeping the light source/s from the plant.

ok you want to know first start to care for your plants more and top the piss out of them this will keep them shorter and stronger. as for your leaf issues dont be too concerned this will fix its self with a little tlc. just get them in biger pots (i sugest 3-5 gal. pots at that stage)and transplant those suckers. a good cheap nutrient free soil (pasturized ovcourse) will do you some good so you can start from scratch. then you get yourself some general hydroponics nutrients (cause there easy to use) and follow the directions to a t. start at full veg stage nutes. this should help you if you use these methods and remember to love your plants. always remove sick leaves and light blocking fan leaves so you plants can grow to full potential enjoy and have fun.
