I was using LED i have a 240watt panel and a 100 watt panel but i didnt like that the spectrum didnt have uv or ir/nir so i switched to CMH im a much happier camper know :)
You didn't know how to operate LED's properly. All full spectrum LED diods produce UV to certain degree. They all have added 660nm reds for IR.

Saying a technology from the mid nineties is superior to modern LED technology is a little weird in my book? Do whatever floats your boat but you would save on your power bill and increase your potency and yield if you learned how to operate LED's properly. Modern LED's are way more effective than CMH will ever be.

honestly im on my first grow so i cant be going around giving advice and i dont think that CMH is superior to LED like i think i was reading documentation on samsung diodes and they said samsung diodes can get like 200 lumens per watt and my cmh bulb only gives me like 105 lumens per watt so thats a huge difference.
but the led panel i had only had like 4 IR diodes on the whole panel and when i look at the spectral graph or whatever its called for led's they show like 0% UV from 380-400nm on the graph and like usually a little bump of ir lmfao when i look at a CMH bulbs graph it shows mass IR and a good ammount of uv from 380-400nm watch lemme see if i can find some pictures

Here is led panel graph do you notice how the UV from 380-400 is like dead and how the IR at the end is like dead also?
led panel graph.jpg
than heres a CMH graph for a eye hortilux cmh bulb notice how the UV from 380-400nm is full and how the IR at the end is nice and full!
cmh graph.jpg
this is the reason i purchased CMH the spectral graph is so much richer! BUT i do understand that with LED you would get like 200 lumens per watt and with CMH you only get like 105 lumens per watt

I would say if you have the budget too go with the Horticulture Lighting Group and I have a 4×4 tent and a 1685336409474688784060.jpg16853364547752031798544.jpg and they actually have a customer service that will help you out so very nice people there can't beat the warranty :hump: :peace: :weed:

CMH does great, don't doubt your decision. It does produce more frosty buds because of the UVA that it produces. The far red spectrum (730nm range) helps to bulk up in flower. CMH is great for quality. Some ppl add CMH to their led.
Led produce bigger harvest due to efficiency. You can add supplement led in specific spectrums to fill out the overall spectrum. Go to rapidled.com to see their "exotic" supplement bar. The UVA adds frost, while the 840 NIR warms the leaf temperature to boost metabolism, also encourages root growth.
