Need help deciding on strain for GA

I am going to be growing outdoors next season, for the second time, and i need to find a better strain this time. I've done closet/box/stealth grows before, but i'm new to outdoor. I live in Georgia, and on an average summer day it is 80-100 degrees [but usually 90-100] and somwhere beween 75-100% humidity [but usually 80-90%]. Last season i used one of those "grab bags" of sativa strains, and ended up with 2 hermies, 4 males, and 2 females were stressed so much they turned hermie [total of 4 herms]. This time, i wanna get something that can stand up to this tourture of this climate.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I've come up with a list of strains that sound/look good. I prefer yield over THC content because of my limited financial situatiton. I need y'alls help to pick out the top 3 for my situation, so i can narrow it down to 1-2. Keep in mind I am going to veg a few [probably one of each strain] in a growbox from Jan/Feb and transplant outside in Mar/Apr/May, which is when i will start all of the others.

This list is just strains from marijuana-seeds.nl and are in order from what sound best to worst with 3 main things in mind: my preferences, ability to withstand the climate, and yeild. Feel free to add to the list or suggest other banks...

1. Purple White Widow
2. Durban Poison
3. Big Bud
4. Northern Lights/ Northern LightsxHaze
5. Afghan
6. PPP
7. Bublegum
8. Mazar
9. THC Bomb
10. Crystal

[Plus, if you scratch my back, i might just scratch yours ;-);-);-)]

Looks like you've been doing some research into the different strains and whats the best for your climate. I live in a more dry climate and have found the indica strains to be better fitted here but I prefer the hybrids with the indica dominated strains, 60% to 80% indica sativa cross to grow just as well. My point being, the hybrids may not be the best suited but I can grow them and the other strains with minimal amount of lose and still get something I prefer..Good luck with your endeavor and treat each grow like a learning experience, you'll do fine..:leaf:

by dry do you mean not rainy or not humid? and what the average temp in your area?

and i'ved been researching and have come to a fork in the road... i've read some places/threads saying that sativas would be best suited for this environment, and others saying indica. Anyone with personal experience with the two or just the definative knowledge, speak up...

So after a late-afternoon on the town [i have work again tomorrow:sad:] with my dealer, i "sampled" 10 of his best strains foh free! And i have some things i wanna look for in my plant/bud....

#1- I want a monster!!!! :fire: One that can touch the sky or one that is wider that i am tall [fdd style]
#2- A plant that can withstand the beating i bestow opon it, is decently pest/disease resistant and just all around tough.
#3- A relatively high yielder with decent amounts of THC.
#4- The high has to be on either side of the spectrum of functionality. It either has to be completely uplifting and happy/giggly, or it has to be a stony couch-lock/unable to move or think high
#5-This buds gotta have some color to it baby! :bigjoint: Plain old green is just boring. i dont care if its purple, white, blue, red, silver, gold, orange, pink, purple, neon yellow, cyan, burgundy, tye-dye, whatever!!

I know what your thinking... either
-"well done! thats what everyone wants!"
or
-"do your own research idiot",

keep in mind that i just consumed over half an ounce of Grade-A, top-of-the-line, what jeezy smokes, ATL's finest purple haze, OG kush, silver sticky, super skunk,*ak-47, G13 haze, northern, jack herer, white widow, and last, but certainly not least, the stick-icky chronic its self, all foh FREE! i can barely function right now. it took me about an hour to type this...

Check out Chimeras C-4.
Explosive! Same mothers as the Frost Bite, but fathered by shiskas! Both lines are huge yielders; the shisk brings down the flowering time and the tasty moms improve upon the flavour and aroma. The trim from these busty ladies makes excellent bubblehash- truly worthwhile. Big big fun! Yield: way up there!
Flowering Period: 45-55 days

I've known Chimera and his work for a long time. There's a few others might be worth looking into as well.

Try http://www.legendsseeds.com/

They should carry them as well as SOLs lines.

I've grown the Shiskaberry from SOL (no longer available) and it was something.

The discription is probably what they list since I got it out of my archives from Chimera.

Thanks for the complimentbongsmilie

so on my usual trip to my local headshop for my cigarettes, something amazing happened. i walk into an empty store, except for the man behind the counter, who i am very friendly with, because i am a "regular" i there, and after i buy my cigs we start conversing. it starts out about an ashcatcher that would fit into my roor steamrollers, and slowly shifts to growing. this is all happening with the man who's thrown people out of his store for even mentioning pot. so it turns out that he is quite a grower himself. he himself had been growing for 14 years, since he was 14 :-P. he runs a 40-50 plant perpetual harvest sog, and yields about 5 pounds every 2 weeks. we then turn the convo to my seed situation and how i'm deciding on a strain. it turns out that he has plenty of seeds [a gallon bag full] and he offered to give me some for free. he even said that if this strain wasn't exactly what i wanted, he would buy me 25 seeds of any strain i wanted no matter the cost. promptly after this, he pulls out his personal stash and we "sample his product" in his 4footer bongsmilie. he also informs me of a local hydro store that i'd never heard of, and if i mentioned that i was refered by him, i'd get a 10% discount.

i leave the store very, very, VERY high and with a little spring in my step knowing 2 things. a) i now have a strain that is very good, or an insurance plan to get anything else i want for free :-). -and- b) i just made a new unexpected friend

so if you couldn't tell, i had an AWESOME day, maybe one for the books :peace:

**EDIT**: comparing to the prices of other "kush" strains [hindu, violator, grapefruit, purple, etc.], i just "made" 200-450$, not including shipping
