Need help deciding what technique to use for maximum yield on pc grow.

Hey guys,

First time grower here, so take it on me. :P

I'm about 3 weeks in after receiving this clone. She's in a 24" tall pc case and I'm deciding whether or not to LST or SCROG at this point. I've seen some great results from SCROG on various journals, but am worried that I don't have enough branching for it? What could be the reason behind this? I have 4 23W CFL's on her right now in veg and have kept the lights about 1-3 inches from the top set of leaves at all times, so maybe I should back that off and encourage some stretching?

Any ideas on how I can encourage branching, so I can use my horizontal space and thus increase my yields?

Thanks guys!

people that scrog generally top the plant and then veg it for a period of time to fill part of the screen then flower when there is some growth showing through the screen. . CFL do not have allot of penetration so either one of these methods will give it more surface area in the effective range of the bulb. i personally only have LST but the idea is to grow the plant anyway you want to fill more of area. i would find tutorials on both and see which one you are more comfortable with doing and stick with that till you master it. either way will be better than just growing it straight up due to height restriction and the bulb type.

Thanks for the advice. I am aware of the two techniques, but I am more looking for what looks most appropriate at this point considering my plant-type and case. Any additional ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Some plants are short and bushy, some tall and thin, but for the most part most like to spring up when you flip them (12/12),you're running out of room, I'd say LST or give Nugs manifold grooming a try......

Not sure how to post a thread but if you search "the main-lining thread" you'll find it, that guy is a Jedi!
