Need help diagnosing plant issues

Hi guys,

I'm in need for some help with one persistent problem one of my plants has. Since week 2 of flower the foliage started going very light green and a lot of the big fan leaves turned yellow and dried out.
Now entering week 7 of flower, there's barely any foliage left around and all of them are turning bright green and into yellow. The flowers on the other hand look decently healthy.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

Growing in organic soil with liquid nutrients from biobizz on a 600W hps. Although the pictures are whack, its easily noticeable the bright green color of the plant compared to the other one next to it.

At week 7, your almost done. In the future, I little grow nutes during bloom can help. Looks like its lacking nitrogen. Shouldnt effect the finishing now.

Wut? He is early flower…

Did you read the post? Week 7 = 49 days.. The average plant is done between 55-65. Yeah, id say with the yellowing I see, he will be alright. I dont know the strain but its safe to say at week 7, its on the downhill. Doesn't look like a long flowering sativa to me.

Thanks for the replies guys and it's good to find a welcoming forum for novice growers.

Well I thought it might be deficient in N and for the past 2 weeks I've used half the regular veg dose of vegging nutrients and to no avail.
It is day 44 actually, just started week 7, it's durban poison genetics and it should be done within the next 3 weeks I guess.
I'm not sure though what might happen to it when it looses all it's fan leaves, as by the looks of it that might happen within the next week.

I'm also noticing some small dark patches on the buds just now forming, not sure whether that has anything to do with it or what it may be.

This was mine and I am also relatively new to all of this. Didn't seem to effect outcome of the final harvest. This picture was taken about 2 weeks before coming down. She yellowed up even more by then.

Yes I did and believe it or not also looked at the pictures. His “week 7” is actually early flower, by the good wind hes is maybe entering mid stage. This counting on weeks with sick plants makes no sense. He did not handled stretch for some reason (most likely the medium), lost foliage and now hes fucked up with slow flowering plant which has no energy to flower. But it might be all right for somebody.

I agree its probably behind on schedule but it stretched hard and the buds are completely formed and dense, so its the ripening phase thats left now. Maybe an extra week over the usual 9 weeks of flower?
Its my first time using this medium, its a light soil with no added nutriets, so it could be that I really underfed this huge demanding girl.
But I'd want to know what exactly happened as the indica plant next to (albeit half the size) is doing pretty well with dark green colors and the buds seem at almost the same stage with a bit more trichomes.

I also have a few clones of it so I'd like to not make the same mistakes when those hit the flower room.

Sorry but are you talking about plants youve posted or not? If so, than you need to let them much longer, than 2-3 you count. You wrote its organic soil now it is light soil with no added nutrients. There is also no sign for different dominance, that one you have topped just when flipped light might be more hungry so maybe thats why she handled that. Lets say you provide all nutrients and your plant goes like this yellowing all the way down, than it is not deficient but most likely overloaded, when there is no sign of burn than you can suspect ph lockout. NOT because of ph water you are going in, but shitload of stuff in your medium messing it up. But its just one of possible culprits, it might be your watering habits, imballanced food or runoff managment…

Im talking about the same plants, yes. This is the yellowing plant (on the pics bellow), durban poison on day 45 of flower. The buds on the bottom part of the colas are ripening first, and I just now noticed that some fan leaves are starting to turn purple on the underside. How much do you reckon this plant has to go until harvest? And according to that estimation, for how much longer am I supposed to feed her?
Not sure how much foliage there's gonna be left between now and harvest time. Also, there are some burnt edges of some leaves appearing and I'm worried it could be some toxicity from the heavy nutrient feed I had it on for the past 2 weeks or so.

Also, I've never PHed the water or the medium I use. I switch between using tap water and filtered water on weekly basis. I thought that I may have some PH problems with the medium but I figured the other plant (see next comment) would have it too if it were the case, no?

This is the second plant, blueberry indica. It's quite smaller as it didn't stretch as much in the early flower, but also because it had different LST done and it responded to it more mildly.
Now it seems healthier although it's dark green colors I think I may have overdone the nitrogen nutes a bit more than I should have.
Other than that, no yellowing leaves, no burnt edges like the other plant, and the buds seem to ripening at pretty much the same pace.

Pic 3 looks nanner… that would explain lower buds “rippening” faster. You harvest plant when ready or when you are forced for some reason, not according to weeks. Just go on and be patient…

edit: even the sick one can still make it

I'll see how it progresses, definitely no point in harvesting it early unless I have to. Just wondered how much of an issue would it be when all the foliage is yellowed out with time left until harvest.

Should I continue with PK nutrients now and cut out the N feed?

You provide ballanced food till the end, just be careful not to overfeed… with that sick one you may try to give her a bigger amount of weaker nutrient solution just to leach out possible built-up and restore pH and watch how shes doing for following two weeks, if she keeps her leaves than you know you figured it out. If not than you are right and shes just hungry, but most likely not since your bigger plant is going good in same environment and treatment. IMo you still have like 6 weeks left. But I might be wrong. Good luck dude!

It seems like its just getting worse now.

Thanks for replying

Although i havent seen a hermie so far, I dont think there are nanners on my plant.
Went on an inspection mission and there are some sketchy bits on the flowers which I openned up with a needle and they were just drying (for some reason) calyxes with pistils inside (pictures bellow).

I wasnt able to find any "bananas" but I am quite worried for the other plant in my room which is doing great.

Man it sucks to put in all the work and have it all slip away like this and you dont even know what went wrong.

I am sorry for your losts. Even more sorry leaving you clueless why it happened so you may jump into the same river someday… you fed? Or how did you treat that, watering habits, runoff managment, nutrients, source water, medium, temp/RH, size of pots… be specific and try to provide numbers to show how your environment and treatment look like. Maybe it will make some hint.
