Need help figuring out what kind of bugs I've got

I've been looking all over the place and I can't figure out what they are. I can see them chilling on the roots (absolutely none on the leaves or stems) and floating around and dying when I flood my table (I'm using a flood table with pots filled with hydroton). They're extremely tiny brown/black bugs with 6 legs and a pair of feelers. They have big round bodies relative to a tiny head. They are so small it was tough for me to see how many legs they have. Any guesses?

I haven't seen any with wings, but I had the same bugs in my last grow and there were a few with wings then. Is there anything I can put in my reservoir to kill them? Neem oil spray seems to kill them but I don't know how I can get that down into the roots.

If it is fungus gnats there are many ways to 86 them. Do some searches on this forum for fungus gnats and you'll find the way. I've only had them once and can't remember what I used to get rid of them, but do remember they were an easy battle compared to spider mites!

^I didn't read the link(heading to bed.lol), but he could be right. Fungus gnat larvae are white colored, not dark.

Just went to the hydro store and they told me to dump an entire $70 bottle of Azamax into my 18 gal reservoir for one application. Do you think I could just mix it in a couple gallon bucket and then just dip each pot in it?

Ya they are root aphids i have been fighting them off as well the Azamax seems to be working it smells bad after a few days but it kills and stops them from eating. I have yet to see them completely go away and I have been using it for two to three weeks but the numbers have greatly reduced. I think it is best to use 5 oz per ten gallons of water it turns the water cloudy and can make your parts ppm meter read low so make sure your nutes are adjusted be for you add you should also clean everything every two weeks to keep the bodies out off your water. It stops them from eating and molting. Kills fungus gnats as well.

Help I've never seen this before 2 types of bugs eating at the roots inside a root roit cube near the top & inside the cube.
one is a bit translucent. the other has legs & moves fast. I captured them both on microscope video. & one by picture.
I don't know how to attach pics here!?
