The strain im hunting down is girl scout cookies. (Og x Cherry Pie)
Cali Seed Connection has it Strain up GSC
And so does Bc Bud Depot.
both of which seed companys ive grown out of.
i just cant figure out which company has the closest to the start of it all before i purchase.
theres also strains available, animal cokies etcetc.
im on the search for straight GSC.

gsc is a clone only so you can't buy seeds all you can get is crosses and S1's but if you want the real deal you need to go out to ca and find a clone. I've actually been thinking of doing that too get blue dream, chem dog, girl scout cookies, etc. etc. definitely be worth the trip.

There are literally three open threads on this topic.

If you search, you'll find a pretty broad variety of opinions on the topic.

My quick take, in a nutshell, is that "Girl Scout Cookies" isn't one thing, there are several different related "clone only" lines that go by that name, and quite a bit of debate as to which is the "real" one, and which is the "best" one. Apparently NONE of the ceeded versions of "Girl Scout Cookies" are exactly like the most well-known versions of that line.

If you want this, your best bet is to source a clone rather than playing with ceeds.

I'd note here that it is perfectly possible (though highly illegal) to send clones through the mail. A proper connection, of course, is required, but depending on where you are, and how resourceful, that still may be cheaper/easier than flying/driving across the width of the USA to get a few plants.

not to mention a strain doesnt start straight from clone. unless im half retarded or something.

Not "retarded", you just don't know about "clone only" strains.

Without making this too complicated, most of these are unstable hybrid plants (ie they're "mutts"). They're great plants, which is why people keep and grow them, but in most cases its simply not possible to make good stable versions of these lines in ceed form.

If you try to cross two "mutt" plants to create ceeds, you end up with a variety of new mutts, most of which don't exactly resemble the original parents.

From what I understand there is ONE girl scout cookies clone, that taste like thin mint cookies. Hence the name. And there is numerous impostors. So if you want real GSC, and want to call your herb GSC it should taste like thin mint cookies.

I don't know about animal crackers or any other ones. I have not smoked any of them, or the GSC. But if its supposed to taste like mint, and the imitations don't, I would not get my hopes up for finding that pheno in a pack of beans. And if something else good pops up and taste like something else, its not really fair to call it GSC.

I'm sure someone will lock down the traits and sell a good version sooner or later, maybe already. But that is what make a clone only, clone only. As soon as the desired traits can be reproduced and sold in seed form it is no longer clone only.
