Need help growing outdoors eastcoast Canada.

Its decent but its real mild so i wouldnt plan on it being the primary source. Use it in addition too and to build soil

I Throw out about 20 gallons of rabbit litter a day "straw, and rabbit waste" nothing else.

But im not sure how to use that?

How do I make sure its not too "hot" and how much would I mix into soil?
WHAT! lol well there you go. Imo its hard to overdo rabbit manure alone . Not sure what the rabbitry looks like but if its tray systems obviously dont water your plants with urine lol if its dropped to ground id use some regular and whenever

The one thing i read a lot about fresher manure that wont usually burn plants is its not the poop itself that is hot...but depending on how its collected and what its collected with can contain a lot of the animals urine...and that IS HOT. I've seen many people in the organic section burn their plants because of that very reason. This is why unless you know for absolute certain that it wont burn your plants when Its fresh..then compost it first.

The 20 gallons a day get tossed out. Most of it goes to the dump... Were a recycling province so all organic waste goes into a green bin.
The wife wont let me compost in the yard... But honestly I do hide the occasional bucket of bunny mess around the yard.
There is a lot of urine in it as well.

Good. Then the neighbours will appreciate the smell of weed more.

Just a thought but if all organic goes to landfill do they keep it separated? If so they must have one heck of a compost pile. Maybe inquire and could be a free or cheap source far from your yard. Happy wife is happy life

I wouldn't touch compost from a landfill, they mix it with ground up wood from the landfill fuck that!

Riiiight. Idk how they make it but being the government I doubt they put much thought into it.
If I were to guess... They take all the organic scraps and make a pile, then turn the pile from time to time.
I know what goes into our organic trash and I wouldnt touch it!

They compost it then sell it back to us $35 a yard.

Good size cannabis plants can easily withstand a few light frosts. Its the hard frost that kill the plant tissue.

I havent read both pages of your thread yet, but do you have any farms nearby? Even a small working farm can be a good source for manure.

You're a little farther north than I am. Our seasons are so much shorter than say, someone in Mass or NH. The seasonal difference can be as much as 4 weeks.

Search around locally. I found a great source for vermicompost at local flower nursery. And Dr Earth and Garden Tone are good amendments to toss in as well.
