NEED HELP!!! Ive burnt the top of my plant!

Hi i need a little advice ive burnt the top of my plant i started my 600w a/c at 12" away at 1st everthin was great i let it grow up to 8" from light still great for a week or 2....... then i thought id see if i could get it closer so let it grow upto 6" from light and it was still ok.......... so left it like that for a while....then last week my little desk fan i have blowin under my light to stop any heat spots packed in and thats what happened,......I didnt notice for a couple of days(WHAT A DICK) so im gutted now and ive raised the light upto 14" now and got a new fan......Do you think the top will recover, and will it have affected growth of the cola?

Im sooo pissed off everythin was goin great then i do this newb mistake!......Ive deff learnt a lesson DONT try fixin somethin that aint BROKEN!!.... Im realin hopin it heals up ok would any superthrive help? some guy gave me it never used it,.....should i chop the top of?...... or will nature sort it?

yeah your 600 should be 18-24 away. with air cooled ref. you can get a lil closer but dont over do it. i would aim for 12 and keep watch on it. if it seems to hot back it off.

Thanks bud i currently got it at 14" away.....the leaves seem to be greenin up a little and some new pistals are comin on top so i think 14" ok shes slowly grow an the min so mite let her grow to 12" away

Do you think i should leave the top to nature?

I prefer to keep my 600s at least 24-28 inches above the canopy. Then the last 3 weeks or so of flower I raise it another 6-8 inches. 12 is much too close. 18 bare minimum, and at that you are still pushing 13000 lumen or so....

its a judgement call. dead foliage i prone to pest and disease. the burn will def stunt growth of the top. but if its not too bad then let it go. dead plant material is no good for nething. the plant still tries to feed it and all that energy was sposed to go to bud growth. your plant will go through some stress now. i would trim some of the burnt leaves and if that top bud is bad then top the plant below the burn. this will slow your growth for a week or so but then it will recover and be vigorous under your sun again.

Anything closer than 18 is counter productive IMO. Lets force feed our plant unrealistic amounts of nutes and crank the lights so high its blinding. The old saying, "Less is more" has some significance when container growing.............

Nooo way buddy ive deff learnt my lesson.......Im still a real newb but ive learnt a lot this grow.......1st 2 grow about 8 years back NFT was younger and didnt produce...now here i am on my 1st solo grow and lovin it!
