Need Help Major Ballast Problem

I've been very frustrated for the last 2 day losing 2 digital ballast.

One of my fixtures has gone through 2 ballast in the last 2 morning, the first one has been fine for about a week then burnt out when the timer turned on in the morning, I ran out and bought another one and installed it the next morning before the light went on, it then burnt out after 20 mins the lamp didn't even light up.

At this point I thought for sure it wasn't the ballast and was leaning towards the bulb. I inspected the DE bulb and re-wired the DE fixture (even though it was already done correctly), after I was finished I was worried it didn't make a difference and would break another replacement, so used one of my old magnetic ballast to see what would happen and it fired up fine??? What the hell I didn't even think a magnetic ballast could fire up a DE bulb. Maybe the touch up on the wiring actually help??

So at the moment I'm really confused, why would 2 ballast burn out on the same fixture? Maybe I got lucky and got 2 duds but what are the chances? I have a replacement but I don't know if I wanna try again, maybe I should change the bulb, and maybe the fixture before I try the digital ballast again?

Check the wiring from your mains to the circuit you're using for your light. If anything is loose it can act as a resistor and Fuck with the line voltage, easily overpowering the ballast's ability to provide consistent voltage. Two digital ballasts is too much if a coincidence.

I'll check it out when I head back later, thanks the reply.

If that was the case wouldn't the magnetic ballast mess up too, or is it built differently so it isn't affected by the loose wires?
