it seemed like you bent it too much to me.
just tape a tooth pick to streighten it out and in a few days you can remove it and see a new ball-like growth that "fixed" the situation.
When its healed you can bend the plant again in a different spot of the branch.
if you let it hang like that and the angle is too high the nutrients might not reach the branch and make it dry and die. just depends of how deep the angle is.
anyway, just tape it back in place, you did nothing wrong - it always happens while bending.
now you know where to stop while bending again ;D
