Need help on getting setup

I'm starting to grow for the first time and I'm looking for some help. I purchaced some seeds and I'm wondering which ones will be the easiest to grow?

3x Ata Tundra - Regular
3x Lowryder #2 - Regular
3x NL5 Haze Mist - Feminized
3x Northern Bright - Feminized

I'm planning on building a 4' x 2' "closet" and making it about 6' - 8' tall. This will be my VEG room and a 2' x '2 x 6'-8' for mother and children, which I may split and have mother downstairs and the kids upstairs. Figuring on using 2' flourecents for them. Not sure on what I will use for the veg room??? LED UFO, or SH

I have already purchased some 5" PEAT Pots to start in, so the transplant will be less stressful. I also purchased organtic sead starter mix.

basicly i'm looking for the low down on size, lights, how many plant to veg in space, ferts, how big of pots to trans into and should I stay with the same organic seed mix or should I put into soil??

I downloaded 2 videos and I have an old tape of growing, so i'm gona review them over the next week.

I may also take some clones once I get there and put some outdoors. I don't think it's safe to put outdoors untill the end of may for where I live, so I hope I could have a good strong plants for outside.

I guess I would need some ideas on timeframes for all stages?

Shop around, there is usually a sale somewhere on them, and you might want a 400 watt if you want to grow big big.

LED's arn't ready for growing yet (in my opinion) they sound great and i'm sure they will be great but i havn't seen any good results with them yet.

As far as fertilizers i use CN-17 liquid nutes but Advanced nutrients good as well. Any good quality nutes will work.

If you grow lowryder it will be a very small plant, no taller than 18" i think. I recommend feminzed (no worrys of males and leaves little to chance)

Yes I am serious about growing. Not looking for a cash crop, just for myself. Sick of local swag. Back in college I did have a few plants, but never came of anything, kinda ornimental I guess. I have been checking out HGT as a source and they are the ones with their brand of LED UFO GEN3 Lights, thats why I'm asking here before I bought them. I like the LED's because of the low wattage and there claim as being a viable light source.

I picked the Northern Lights since I was lucky enough to get some last year... and it was nice, since then the regular stuff does not do it for me anymore. This is why I picked the Northern Brights as well.

As far as the Lowryder, I wanted the Lowryder #2 and AK47, which is an autobloom and figured it would be easy to get started with, but they were out of them when I ordered and 16hrs later they had them again.. ... I sent an e-mail to have them switch them, but not sure if they will get it before they ship?? I picked the ATA Tundra because of the quick bloom, but I do prefer a sativa.

I guess I'm figuring I will start one of the NL or NB and one of the LR or ATA and only put the small plants inside for veg and move the other larger onesoutside when growth is good enough to put outside.

Would I be able to grow them all under the same lights in the grow phase or will the Northerns just grow too much??

I'm still trying to figure out what the best is for me at this point, so any help would be great.

ya, you could veg them in the same room no problem. And the autos will start flowering first so you could possibly keep the northerns in veg longer untill the autos are almost done, they should be about the same size by then i'm not sure, you would get 2 different harvests that way tho


if your just planning on using a light to veg the plants the ufo would work good for you. i'm assuming by saying "outside" youre gona move the plants outdoors for light?
