Need help raising temps

I've been noticing very slow growth lately as the temp in my basement has dropped with the weather and I realize I need to do something to raise it as the cold weather will persist for a number of months. Previously it hadn't been much of a problem as I had less efficient lights that threw out a decent amount of heat in the tent and between that and the dehumidifier it seemed to work fine (although probably where still too low honestly).

I now see a temps into the low 50s with the lights out and realize I need to bump them up. I'm already using close to as much electricity as I feel comfortable with and I'd have to crank the furnace way up to raise the basement temps to the desired range.

Any suggestions on an efficient way to raise the temps in a 5x5 and 4x4 tent to the desired range? The tents are not in the same rooms so I'd likely have to consider heaters of some type for each.

I saw a wide array of cheap space heaters for sale but at 1000-1500 watts each that seems like an excessive draw and I don't necessarily feel comfortable running multiple cheap electric heaters like that in an old home. I've also noticed that none of the cheaper units have a temp setting and instead have a couple pre-sets so it'd probably still be difficult to keep the temp range narrow, Looking for ideas. Thanks!

You can get a cubicle heater that only uses 350 watts ans if you have a well insulated area it should help a lot. But you may then also need a humidifier. I would also invest in some ink birds for both temp and humidity. I grow in a cold basement also and I have all of this ans it seems to be working. I need to insulate more though. If you can insulting is your best friend.

Many growers will choose to run HPS in the winter and LED in the summer. Of course this only helps with lights on temps. The oil filled heaters don't put out any light and are great for grows.

I have actually thought about doing this. Seems silly to have lights with less heat only to then have to use a heater lol

Get a smaller tent?

Thanks, I just started running a small heater and the room is warming up nicely. I'll read up on the inkbird 608 and in the meantime it be fairly easy to keep in the range with the temperature dial on the heater.

I use a 600w habistat (vivarium) controller with a 400w heater during the winter

The habistat continuously monitors the temperature and adjusts the power going to the heater so it uses as little power as possible while maintaining a spot on temperature.
