I check water with a ph meter and dirt with a probe meter. Is there a better way to check ph in soil and or water. I use tap water but I let it sit for a day or two befitting using.
You really shouldn’t have to worry about soil ph it should buffer itself out if you think your having issues with soil ph get some dolomite lime and a little Epsom salt and it’ll balance it back out

I dont think its soil cuz fox farm oceans forest has done great for me in the past will old nutes cause an issue?

Slurry test could you elaborate please
You use distilled water and get a soil sample you soak the soil in the distilled water for 24 hours then strain the water using like cheese cloth or a similar example and test the water. the water should be the ph of your soil

Epsom salt is for balancing pH? Not really. It has little effect on pH.

But it's good for some S and a little supplemental Mg.
You’re correct it doesn’t balance ph but helps with root health and plant cell walls i suggest they use it to help keep plant healthy while dealing with ph issues in the soil

Oh yeah ... they look healthier once they receive a taste of sulfur. S helps in the formation of chlorophyll. And even after the pH issues have been ironed out, you can use Epsom Salts every other week throughout the entire grow.

Increase transpiration to increase the uptake of calcium. I suggest you get some gypsum pellets and put some in your media to help with the inherent calcium uptake problems under led. I'd run my room hotter if I were you, you want leaf temps over 80 degrees, My plants love a 90 degree room and deficiencies disappeared once the environment is dialed in. These new leds are a lot stronger than most people think, too much light will manifest myriad symptoms and you could be chasing your tail. If the transpiration and leaf temps are not ideal, they won't be able to take the light in and you will stress them. Stress can be slight or extreme, not all deficiencies are from lack of nutes, many are from an overabundance of them. One problem/symptom I see often with led grows is not enough air circulation leading to calcium, and magnesium deficiencies. People blame it on the lights, say they're junk. They almost look hungry when they have all the food and light they need, actually more than they need. Think about your grow like a chain, the weakest link will always hold you back. I gave up calmag, use gypsum and epsom, and my babies thank me for it. Most of the time I see people "fixing" their "calmag deficiency," with calmag, they likely did not "feed the stretch" with grow nutes. I see so many ppl recommend switching to bloom nutes at the flip, and people listening and then wonder why their plants start looking like shit. The calmag likely just gave them the nitrogen they sorely needed. Man I sucked when I started out, I listened to the helpful people here too much. I saw one guy giving great advice and everyone shit on him, his name was uncle ben. I owe that guy a lot of thank yous. I didn't stop listening to people and started listening to the plants like he said, I'd likely still be a shitty grower. Old growers have been down most of these roads, they know tricks and have useful info, don't hesitate to pull up a chair and listen to these people... you might just learn a thing or two. Just remember, less is more. I never, ever, ever, use the recommended amount of nutrients, hardly ever go above 1.0 ec and do just fine. Another tip I can give is I ran my tent fans opposite of what most people recommend, I use the top as air intake and the bottom as exhaust. This helps transpiration immensely and leads to faster growth. Call me crazy but I go for results, not myth. Good luck my friend.

You can also add a small amount to all water/feedings, it works great due to there not being such a drastic difference in osmotic pressure from a large increase in salinity in the feed, epsom can make the ec rise quite quickly. My plants do not like it when their feed ec changes more than about 100 ppm from the norm. I know there are many ways to accomplish a good nutrient regimen, as long as find what works for you in your environment you will be all set. I just like to share what I do, and read what others do. I have learned so much from some people here that I try to give back any way I can. Have a great grow.

A good ph meter and a cheap moisture meter may be the cure for your primary issues. With FFOF being a hot medium, overwatering can be a prob especially in larger pots. A moisture meter will aid in knowing "ROOT ZONE" moisture and a good ph meter will assure you're putting the correct type of moisture in.
Get back to simple and try not to push the rope.

I'm growing in fox farm happy frog. My ph pen went bad and I started seeing leaves that looked just like that. Got a new pen to assure proper ph and issue is almost gone now.

Just did slurry test one pot was at 6.94 and the other was 7.18. Can you use ginger and water to bring down ph quickly?

I never have I’ve always just added some lime to level everything out. If you do use ginger or other fast acting things keep in mind they might only work temporarily and may cause more issues later I’ve always used the lime as it takes a little longer to work but works for a substantial period of time and doesn’t allow weird fluctuations.

keep it real.

Good job! They look great with all the issues you ran into. Definitely a good run! Next will be better!
