i got a 50 litre res and on top i sit another 50litre res that i cut in half i grow in rockwool works for me i flood all the way to the top of my second tub when the plants are small when the roots come out the bottom of the net pots i half the size of my over flow pipe so the rockwool does not stay saturated.

Whats up h8red? Iam new to the whole hydro but have grown in soil numerous times this last grow i went with an ebb n flow system. my set up is a 2'x4' tray with a 18 gallon res. Grow medium is coco croutons,coco pyth, perilite mix, i flood the tray 3 times a day for 15 minutes when light is on . i Clean the res out every 7-10 days, its important with ebb n flow to use clearex after emptying res. I add 1/2 ounce of clearex per gallon and run in tray for up to 1 hr or until ppm's stop going up then i rinse grow medium with clearex until totally saturated, empty res . After that i uses H2o2 1/2 tsp per gallon for 20 minutes and then add nutes. It took me some time to figure this out but depending on ur grow medium flood tray to about 1/2 of where u think the roots are so u dont over saturate the medium.
