flushing/leaching ......word games whatever

If one has hard water (high alkaline) and/or is using chemical ferts and has a strain that goes 10-12 weeks then crystals/deposits build up at root tips restricting intake (especially after 2 1/2 months)

too leach away these deposits I use distilled water and have seen the immediate difference in growth afterwards so idiots that want to feed into late flower and smoke nitrates and bunch of unhealthy additive crap and think, "no flush", is the way are actually brainwashed themselves!
Like I advised the OP ... or somebody ... feed lightly and you will never have to "flush".
Douse your plants with nutrient upon nutrient it's entire life and the problems will find you.
I agree. If you have some build up, leach your soil.

People (mostly noobs) think "flushing" cleanses your plant. It doesn't. Giving it only water doesn't remove anything.
What is does do is make the plant's job harder for a significant part of it's flower cycle.

There's dozens if not hundreds of threads on this in RIU with the science quoted and/or documented.
It's a hot topic and the debate is long.
I would say to a person posting in the Newbie thread, learn how to feed your plants the correct way and don't worry about flushing.

Instead of Flushing cut your newts back just like when you start feeding you started quarter strength, half-strength Etc.

..that's exactly how you finish up your plants, half strength, quarter strength & straight pHed water last few days, no flushing it's a myth!
