need help...white mold & mushrooms

For the last 4 weeks mushrooms have been popping out from my soil (in smart pots). My plants are in a greenhouse. So I decided to dig 4 inches into my soil and what I found was white mold. I'm guessing that's where the yellow and white mushrooms grew from. I'm a rookie grower and don't know what to do. The top layer of 2 of the pots are all covered with white mold. Can I use hydrogen peroxide to get rid of the mold? What should I do? Please help this rookie out so he can sleep better at night. Thank you all.

Where did you get the soil from? I take its not potting mix.

You could certainly try using hydrogen peroxide. It should kill mushroom spores.

Cover the top of the soil in future with something like a weed barrier, out doors,in doors clay balls.Or clay balls if the plants are in pots out doors instead of a bed,if the fungi release spur's you are in trouble mold will be in the grow area

I agree on you tube there is a piece under medo dope that has a grower that has fungi growing on the medium he uses,,and he says its a good thing,it means everthing's working right in the soil, its where i got the aloe vera method from cloning from.

I would personally photograph it and then google soil fungi to get a answer, are you growing organic med,

If its mold the peroxide will kill it nut if its some type of mushroom it wont. Bacteria should grow back quickly. To make sure the mold doesn't come back you need to sterilize every inch of surrounding area with Lysol. But not in the soil! Peroxide turns to water but not sure Lysol would be safe.

Depends on the species of mushroom tho. Some are symbiotic but others are paracites.

Im a professional grower an im willing to bet hes stimulated an excess of beneficial fungi..good job..lay off mycos n algae supplements..continue feeding nutes...u should be okay. Look at fungi to make sure it not bad...if it is fungicide are around to kill it. Sesame seed oil is good

How do the plants look?

If the soil isn't anaerobic, then fungus is usually a good thing to have in soil. The 'no tillers' love to see some mushrooms growing out their mulch. Fungus breaks up the tougher stuff in your soil, which the bacteria can't and release nutrients back into the soil.

It replaces certain nutrients lost for sure. Corn growers grow soybeans every other year to keep soil from becoming barren. Returns nitrogen to the soil. Heard there are beneficial plants to grow alongside.
