Need help with a ballast

I finally got my dream light 5 months ago. A 600 watt HPS with a digital ballast and an air cooled hood.Well suddenly my ballast isn't working. It's not the bulb, I bought a new one. It doesn't even make the faint noise from the fan. I payed quite a bit for this and am freaking out. I'm glad I still have my 400's.Does anyone know how I could go about trying to fix this ballast. What might be wrong?

return it mate. most decent companies have a three year warranty.

I don't see any space for a fuse on the plug.

I can't return it I bought it off ebay months agnly 60 day returns

Have a close look where the power cord plugs in to the ballast, there should be a small fuse compartment there, you will probably need a small screw driver to open it.

May the bud gods bless your grow. Sure enough there was a fuse way down in the plug space on the ballast.I'm Going to get a new fuse now and hopefully by lights on tonight my 600 will be back in with my girls. Thank god I have a back up 400 but it's not air cooled like the 600.

I was talking to a guy @ the hydro shop, he said the dig ballast with fans, were having problems. The ones without fans never come back. May be exchange it?

Oh well it didn't work. I guess I'll have to spring for a new one by this summer. Mine does have a fan in it and I know other people who have had problems with digital ballasts. I have never had a problem with regular ballasts. Right now I have a 250 about 6 yrs old and 2 400's one 3yrs and 1 about 4 years old. Never a problem. I'm starting to rethink the digital ballast route. There expensive to have to replace.
