Hi
No problem with the questions!
For your first question, you asked about hanging the flowering bulb. When you say flowering bulb, are you referring to the bulb that is hung right on top of your phototron? If so, than absolutely! Wait until your a week or two into flower! Again, this depends on how tall you flower your little girl. IF, you flower her right away with very little veg, than it will be an expirement, either to use the flower bulb right from beginning or await a week. Remember that your plant will grow 30%-50% in volume in the first two weeks and contiune to grow for another week but slowly. Now here is the big secret! Because this growth is massivly introduced due to chemicals reaction in the plant, heat in the grow room will play a large factor in intro-node spacing. So your plant is going very fast due to the introduced flowering and because of the natural course for being photosynthetic. Because of this rapid growth, your plant can easily be offset with heat, therefor, large intro-node spacing.
For your next questions, again my opinion. When someone writes a book, they right the book for the general and they do so understanding that there is a audience reading, they speck very generalized and govern their personal opinions somewhat. Most people will agree to veg for four weeks so they can get 12-18 inch's of height before flowering. Well alot of people still veg with metal halides with that in mind you have to veg for that long to get any good height of your plant. Today you can use a good HPS bulb by hortilux and cut veg time-big time. On the other hand, If you are starting from seed, you will need a few weeks to show maturity before flowering. From clone you can flower after transplant shock. Feel free to flower your little girl after she shows signs of maturity; you can do so by those little white pistils that show up around the intro-node spacings; look for two of them in one location. After a week weeks they will appear! Six inch tall seems to me pretty short. 12 inchs sounds much better. BUT, that's because I have a 8 1/2 foot ceiling to work with. How much height do you have to work with? IF you have three feet, I would flower at 12 inchs-safely!
If you were to transplant or to root bound her in a small cup maybe veg her til she is 12 inchs tall and than transplant in your phototon. After a few days of transplanting I would introduce flowering. But the next thing to consider is, do you turn on your flower bulb or not? Well if she is really root bound turn your flower bulb on right away during week one flower, or wait till one week in flower to play safe. Remember you can tell how well she is root bound by how her volume is to her container and by her rate of growth; Be-leave me, is not just when their are roots coiling around the bottom of your pot. If she is root bound, she will grow less tall in flower because during the time she does her 30-50% growth in volume, your plant has slowed her self down already and will continue to grow slow until about one week after transplanting. She will be stunted but she will pick up vigor again but it takes a little time- most likely two weeks into flower.
I am a big fan of pruning leaves but only when I am a few weeks into flower. I do this because it helps me water, keeps things organized, allows me to inspect each plant better, or at least once in flower. But most importantly it helps to divert energy from the plant into the rest of the plant. But in your case, you have your T5 bubls running right to the bottom of your plant. If, you do prune do it lightly because the bottom of your plant is getting light. I am sure u will get a really good understanding after this round of flowering your in right now. Look for fluffy buds that will or wil not develop. If they wont develop, feel free to cut that branch off!
Any other questions? Just feel free to ask, anything about nutrients, ph? medium?
