Need help with carbon filter and air cooled hood!!

OK. So I will be getting a Yield Master 2 Supreme 6" Air cooled hood and a 6" inline fan rated @ 435 cuft. I will have a passive intake from my garage into my room near the floor and then exhaust back into my garage near the ceiling. My room is about 5' x 5' x 8'. I will be using a 1000w Harvest Pro Elite ballast and Hortilux HPS bulb. Other than the passive intake it is for the most part air tight. I will have a heater to keep temps at the right temperature when lights are out. The room is in my basement, which stays fairly cool, so when my lights are on I should be fine with the temps. My question is this, how do I run the carbon filter, fan, and hood? Like this? ..... Filter===>Hood===>Fan====>Out to garage.... (arrows denote flow, I know pulling air thru filter is better than pushing it.) Will this setup work to cool my room? Thanks for all the help and suggestions in advance guys!! I am fairly new to all this so any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Yea that's pretty much the set up you want there. Ducting too obviously and you could have the fan outside of the room itself (in the garage) to reduce a small amount of heat as well.

^This. I think AC hoods are the most effective way of solving heat issues.

ya want your carbon scubber/ intake in the bloom cab, in order to handle the odor it has to be in there. the order ya wanna run your gear is filter - fan - light - exhaust, you will have less velocity on the intake side of the fan so the scrubber can do a better job of odor control.

edit: what filter are you running? i use a can filter 38 special 75 .. was the smallest one i could find that would handle the cfm rating for my fan ... 6" 435cfm also. .......... i get no odor or smell out of my cab at all!!
