My guess is that a $300 can fan is a little overkill for this guy's grow.
I'm sorry but since when did a 4 inch or even larger can-fan cost 300 bucks?

Look, you can listen to the guys who hack shit together and end up with various results, you can try to build your own this and that our you can shell out the money, do it right, have no problems and never bitch. It really is that simple. A 4" can-fan pulls something like 68 watts and moves 150ish CFM. Do the math. Listen to the hacks, attempt their hacks and you will end up with the same low rent results. You have people with no experience tell you LED's are great, they are not. You have people say they get this and that with CFL's or Flouro, they don't. I wish there really was some magical cheap means of doing things right, but there is not.

^^ I think you are a naysayer...
There are plenty of Great DIY solutions. or as you call them "hacks"... Its up to the readers to determine which ones are the good and which ones are bad

natty about bucket size not sure if this is 100% true but it makes sense somethin my grandma told me as a kid, if you start out in a big container its going to stunt growth because the plant knows it has more space to grow its root system its going to put more energy into growing its roots out big. i always transplant any plant at least 2-3 times to bigger pots before its into its final home. long as your careful you dont have to worry about shock much. if your having trouble getting a plant out of a pot rather then tuging on the stem to get it out try giving the pot a little squeeze and tip it upside down then all you gotta do is catch the soil claud. (if none of that made sense pm me and ill re explain later, sorry really stoned right now)

I guess I'm in the "hack" category. Done with patience and planning a DIY solution can be as good or better than an overpriced solution. To believe otherwise is an admission of failure to me. Just my Two Cents. I'm quite a ways from $300 total for my A Medicinal Refridgerator
My two 120mm fans pull a hell of a lot less than 68W and they are 134 CFM each.
On the transplanting. scoobster's grandma's advice is spot on. Different way than I describe it, but same point. Done right there is NO shock. I'll be watching.

It's pretty simple really. Passive intake to Cool Tube 120mm fan exhausting. Main chamber passive intake then Carbon Filter to another 120 mm to exhaust. The sizes of stuff are on the build journal but that's the short and narrow. I can control within 10 of ambient.:blsmoke:

Daniels- thanks I checked it out again and now it makes since. Thanks again!

Evo- Sweet ass fan and thermometer (where can I pick one of those up?) I'll definitly take a look at the fan if you wanna post the link

I bought a exaust fan and charcoal can kit and it was worth every penny. vent that up high. Bring fresh air in low. vent your lights. one gallon pots would probably work better with plant height posibly being an issue. Get a worth while strain and you shouldnt have many other if any other issues. Good luck
